இன்னும் எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனுக்கு (எதையும்) இணையாக்காதிருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

and do not confer favor to acquire more
(பிறருக்குக் கொடுப்பதையும் விட அவர்களிடமிருந்து) அதிமாகப் பொறும் (நோக்கோடு) உபகாரம் செய்யாதீர்.

and do not urge one another to feed the poor,
ஏழைக்கு உணவளிக்குமாறு தூண்டுவதில்லை.

and do not ascribe partners to their lord;
இன்னும் எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனுக்கு (எதையும்) இணையாக்காதிருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

and do not urge one another to feed the needy.
ஏழைக்கு உணவளிக்குமாறு தூண்டுவதில்லை.

and do not favour others in order to receive more.
(பிறருக்குக் கொடுப்பதையும் விட அவர்களிடமிருந்து) அதிமாகப் பொறும் (நோக்கோடு) உபகாரம் செய்யாதீர்.

and do not drive the beggar away,
யாசிப்போரை விரட்டாதீர்.

fear allah and do not disgrace me'
"அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள். என்னைக் கேவலப்படுத்தி விடாதீர்கள்" என்றும் கூறினார்.

do not drink the liquor and do not come in
மது அருந்திவிட்டு உள்ளே வராதீர்கள்

and do not chide the one who asks for help;
யாசிப்போரை விரட்டாதீர்.

"maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others.
"நேரான தாராசைக் கொண்டு நிறுத்துக் கொடுங்கள்.

and do not disgrace me on the day they are resurrected.
"இன்னும் (மனிதர்கள் உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்பப்படும் நாளில் என்னை நீ இழிவுக் குள்ளாக்காதிருப்பாயாக!"

"and do not disgrace me. have some fear of god."
"அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள். என்னைக் கேவலப்படுத்தி விடாதீர்கள்" என்றும் கூறினார்.

'slink you into it,' he shall say, 'and do not speak to me.
(அதற்கவன்) "அதிலேயே இழிந்து கிடங்கள்; என்னுடன் பேசாதீர்கள்!" என்று கூறுவான்.

and do not come near adultery. it is immoral, and an evil way.
நீங்கள் விபச்சாரத்தை நெருங்காதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அது மானக்கேடானதாகும். மேலும், (வேறு கேடுகளின் பக்கம் இழுத்துச் செல்லும்) தீய வழியாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.

and observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient.
ஆகவே, நீங்கள் நிறுப்பதை சரியாக நிலைநிறுத்துங்கள்; எடையைக் குறைக்காதீர்கள்.

and do not disgrace me on the day they are [all] resurrected -
"இன்னும் (மனிதர்கள் உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்பப்படும் நாளில் என்னை நீ இழிவுக் குள்ளாக்காதிருப்பாயாக!"

and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land,
"அன்றியும், உங்களையும், உங்களுக்கு முன்னாலிருந்த படைப்புகளையும் படைத்த அவனுக்கே அஞ்சங்கள்" (எனக் கூறினார்.)
