anyone who fancies that allah will not support him in this world and in the hereafter, let him reach out to heaven through a rope, and then make a hole in the sky and see whether his device can avert that which enrages him.
எவன் (நம் தூதர் மேல் பொறாமை கொண்டு) அல்லாஹ் அவருக்கு இவ்வுலகிலும் மறுமையிலுமு; உதவி செய்யமாட்டான் என்று எண்ணுகிறானோ, அவன் ஒரு கயிற்றை வானத்தின் அளவுக்கு நீட்டிப் பின்னர் (நபிக்குக் கிடைத்து வரும் இறையருளைத்) துண்டிக்க (முற்பட)ட்டுமே! இந்த வழி தன்னை ஆத்திர மூட்டச் செய்ததைப் போக்குகிறதா என்று பார்க்கட்டும்!

but if they fail to respond to you, know that they follow their fancies. and who is more lost than him who follows his fancy without guidance from god? god does not guide the unjust people.
உமக்கு அவர்கள் பதில் கூறாவிடில், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் தம் மன இச்சைகளையே பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள் என்று நீர் அறிந்து கொள்ளும்; இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து நேர்வழி காட்டியின்றித் தன் மன இச்சையைப் பின்பற்றுபவனைவிட, மிக வழி கெட்டவன் எவன் இருக்கின்றான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அக்கிரமக்கார சமூகத்தாருக்கு நேர்வழி காட்ட மாட்டான்.

it is not by your fancies, nor by the fancies of the people of the book. whosoever does evil shall be recompensed for it, and he will not find for himself, other than allah, a guardian or helper.

and why should you not eat of that over which the name of allah has been pronounced when he has already made plain to you what is forbidden, except when you are constrained? many are those who mislead through ignorance on account of their fancies, but your lord best knows the transgressors.
