அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கின்றான்; இன்னும், (அவனே) மரிக்கச் செய்கின்றான் - பின்னர் அவனிடமே (மறுமையில்) திரும்பக் கொண்டு செல்லப்படவீர்கள்.

and of them is he who made a covenant with allah (saying): if he give us of his bounty we will give alms and become of the righteous.
அவர்களில் சிலர், "அல்லாஹ் தன் அருட்கொடையிலிருந்து நமக்கு(ச் செல்வத்தை) அளித்ததால் மெய்யாகவே நாம் (தாராளமான தான) தர்மங்கள் செய்து, நல்லடியார்களாகவும் ஆகிவிடுவோம்" என்று அல்லாஹ்விடம் வாக்குறுதி செய்தார்கள்.

this is the bounty of god, he gives whosoever he please. god is master of great bounty.
அதுவே அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளாகும், தான் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு அதை அவனளிக்கிறான், மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான அருளுடையவன்.

அவர்களில் சிலர், "அல்லாஹ் தன் அருட்கொடையிலிருந்து நமக்கு(ச் செல்வத்தை) அளித்ததால் மெய்யாகவே நாம் (தாராளமான தான) தர்மங்கள் செய்து, நல்லடியார்களாகவும் ஆகிவிடுவோம்" என்று அல்லாஹ்விடம் வாக்குறுதி செய்தார்கள்.

allah is benignant to his servants; he gives sustenance to whom he pleases, and he is the strong, the mighty.
அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்கள் பால் அன்பு மிக்கவனாக இருக்கிறான்; தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு (வேண்டிய) உணவளிக்கிறான்; அவனே வலிமை மிக்கவன்; (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.

allah is subtle with his servants; he gives provisions to whom he wills. and he is the powerful, the exalted in might.
அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்கள் பால் அன்பு மிக்கவனாக இருக்கிறான்; தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு (வேண்டிய) உணவளிக்கிறான்; அவனே வலிமை மிக்கவன்; (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.

(little do they realize that) allah is mocking at them. he gives them rope enough, and they wander on and on blindly in their mischief and rebellion.
அல்லாஹ் இவர்களைப் பரிகசிக்கிறான். இன்னும் இவர்களின் வழிகேட்டிலேயே கபோதிகளாகத் தட்டழியும்படி விட்டு விடுகிறான்.
