இன்னும் ஃகாரூனையும், ஃபிர்அவ்ன்னையும், ஹாமானையும் (அழித்தோம்); திடனாக, அவர்களிடம் மூஸா தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் வந்தார்; எனினும், (அவற்றை நிராகரித்து) அவர்கள் பூமியில் பெருமையடித்து நின்றார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் (அழிவிலிருந்து) தப்பித்தார்களில்லை.

or do those who do ill-deeds imagine that they can outstrip us? evil (for them) is that which they decide.
அல்லது தீமை செய்கிறார்களே அவர்கள் நம்மைவிட்டும் தாங்கள் தப்பிக் கொள்வார்கள் என்று எண்ணிக் கொண்டார்களா? அவர்கள் (அவ்வாறு) தீர்மானித்துக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டது.

and let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (allah's purpose). lo! they cannot escape.
நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் தாங்கள் (தண்டனையிலிருந்து) தப்பித்துக் கொண்டதாக எண்ணவேண்டாம்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (இறையச்சமுடையோரைத்) தோற்கடிக்கவே முடியாது.

and qarun and fir'awn and haman! and assuredly musa came unto them with the evidences, yet they were stiff-necked in the land. and they could not outstrip us.
இன்னும் ஃகாரூனையும், ஃபிர்அவ்ன்னையும், ஹாமானையும் (அழித்தோம்); திடனாக, அவர்களிடம் மூஸா தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் வந்தார்; எனினும், (அவற்றை நிராகரித்து) அவர்கள் பூமியில் பெருமையடித்து நின்றார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் (அழிவிலிருந்து) தப்பித்தார்களில்லை.

and (we destroyed also) qarun (korah), fir'aun (pharaoh), and haman. and indeed musa (moses) came to them with clear ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip us (escape our punishment).
