(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக "என் இறைவனே! அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டதை (வேதனையை) நீ எனக்கு காண்பிப்பதாயின்;

if thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates.
"நிச்சயமாக நீ அவர்களை விட்டு வைப்பாயானால். உன் அடியார்களை அவர்கள் வழி கெடுத்துவிடுவார்கள்; அன்றியும், பாவிகளையும், காஃபிர்களையும் அன்றி அவர்கள் பெற்றெடுக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

"and say to him, 'wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-
இன்னும் (ஃபிர்அவ்னிடம்; "பாவங்களை விட்டும்) பரிசத்தமாக வேண்டும் என்ற (விருப்பம்) உன்னிடம் இருக்கிறதா?" என்று கேளும்.

verily if thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead thine bondmen and will beget not save sinning infidels,
"நிச்சயமாக நீ அவர்களை விட்டு வைப்பாயானால். உன் அடியார்களை அவர்கள் வழி கெடுத்துவிடுவார்கள்; அன்றியும், பாவிகளையும், காஃபிர்களையும் அன்றி அவர்கள் பெற்றெடுக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

(நபியே!) நீர் துன்பப்படுவதற்காக நாம் இந்த குர்ஆனை உம்மீது இறக்கவில்லை.

and shouldst thou fear treachery from any people cast back then unto them their covenant to be equal. verily allah approveth not the treacherous.
(உம்முடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருக்கும்) எந்தக் கூட்டத்தாரும் மோசம் செய்வார்கள் என நீர் பயந்தால். (அதற்குச்) சமமாகவே (அவ்வுடன்படிக்கையை) அவர்களிடம் எறிந்துவிடும்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மோசம் செய்பவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.

we granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently?
(நபியே!) உமக்கு முன்னர் எந்த மனிதனுக்கும் (அவன்) என்றென்னும் இருக்கக்கூடிய நித்திய வாழ்வை நாம் (இங்கு) கொடுக்கவில்லை ஆகவே நீர் மரித்தால் அவர்கள் மட்டும் எனறென்றும் வாழப் போகிறார்களா?

if thou shouldst chastise them, then surely they are thy servants; and if thou shouldst forgive them, then surely thou art the mighty, the wise.
(இறைவா!) நீ அவர்களை வேதனை செய்தால் (தண்டிப்பதற்கு முற்றிலும் உரிமையுள்ள) உன்னுடைய அடியார்களாகவே நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் இருக்கின்றனர். அன்றி, நீ அவர்களை மன்னித்து விடுவாயானால், நிச்சயமாக நீ தான்(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோனாகவும் ஞானமிக்கோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றாய்" (என்றும் கூறுவார்).

and we sent down the book to thee for the express purpose, that thou shouldst make clear to them those things in which they differ, and that it should be a guide and a mercy to those who believe.
(நபியே!) அன்றியும், அவர்கள் எ(வ் விஷயத்)தில் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அதை நீர் தெளிவாக்குவதற்காகவே உம் மீது இவ்வேதத்தை இறக்கினோம்; இன்னும், ஈமான் கொண்டுள்ள மக்களுக்கு (இது) நேரான வழியாகவும், ரஹ்மத்தாகவும் (அருளாகவும்) இருக்கிறது.

lo! i would rather thou shouldst bear the punishment of the sin against me and thine own sin and become one of the owners of the fire. that is the reward of evil-doers.
என்னுடைய பாவத்தையும் உன்னுடைய பாவத்துடன் நீ சுமந்து கொண்டு வருவதையே நிச்சயமாக நான் விரும்புகிறேன்;. அப்பொழுது நீ நரகவாசிகளில் ஒருவனாகிவிடுவாய். இது தான் அநியாயக்காரர்களின் கூலியாகும் (என்றும் கூறினார்),

and if we willed, we would surely shew them unto thee, so that thou shouldst surely know them by their marks. and thou shalt surely know them by the mode of their speech. and allah knoweth your works.
அன்றியும், நாம் நாடினால், திடமாக நாம் அவர்களை உமக்குக் காண்பித்திருப்போம்; அவர்களுடைய முகக்குறிகளைக் கொண்டு நீர் அவர்களை நன்கு அறிந்து கொள்வீர்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய சூழ்ச்சியான பேச்சைக் கொண்டும் அவர்களை நீர் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் உங்களை செய்கைகளை நன்கறிகிறான்.

and verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which we have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend!
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

(aaron) replied: "o son of my mother! seize (me) not by my beard nor by (the hair of) my head! truly i feared lest thou shouldst say, 'thou has caused a division among the children of israel, and thou didst not respect my word!'"
(இதற்கு ஹாரூன்;) "என் தாயின் மகனே! என் தாடியையோ என் தலை (முடி)யையோ பிடி(த்திழு)க்காதீர்கள்; 'பனீ இஸ்ராயீலிடையே நீங்கள் பிரிவினையை உண்டாக்கி விட்டீர்கள்; என் வார்த்தைக்காக நீங்கள் காத்திருக்கவில்லை!' என்று நீர் கூறுவீரோ என நிச்சயமாக நான் அஞ்சினேன்" என்று கூறினார்.
