nuotare nelle bocche di bonifacio con mare forza 3, una perturbazione dovuta ad un forte vento di grecale con punte di 35 nodi, con onde alte 100/150 cm, con una temperatura dell’ acqua tra i 12 e i 15 gradi celsius a qualcuno potrebbe sembrare da incoscienti, ma non è stata sicuramente la prima volta che ho affrontato condizioni tanto avverse, mi è già capitato per esempio nel lago di kivu, nella repubblica democratica del congo, a causa delle pericolosissime esalazioni di gas, oppure in nuova zelanda, dove all’arrivo ho dovuto fare i conti con l’ipotermia. il fatto è che quando io nuoto lo faccio con una convinzione profonda e importante: è il mio modo, il mio strumento, per combattere accanto a tutti i disabili, una battaglia di civiltà.
