the sinners in zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

scio enim promptum animum vestrum pro quo de vobis glorior apud macedonas quoniam achaia parata est ab anno praeterito et vestra aemulatio provocavit plurimo
for i know the forwardness of your mind, for which i boast of you to them of macedonia, that achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
