vonbit stands for von bertalanffy iterative approach and it is a computer software designed to run under windows.

von bertalanffy's (1968) systems approach would help to manage possible policy solutions involving several stakeholders.

k y son los parámetros de la curva de von bertalanffy o cvb (véase dinámica de poblaciones , este volumen);
k and are parameters of the von bertalanffy growth equation or vbgf (see ‘population dynamics’, this vol.);

on this point the words of professor ludwig von bertalanffy of the university of alberta are interesting:

c : parameter of the von bertalanffy equation, modified to express seasonal growth oscillations, and expressing the amplitude of such oscillations.

this option only belongs to living systems, the only ones that, following bertalanffy and maturana, we are cleared to define as really autopoietic.

the presented linear regression method for fitting the von bertalanffy growth function to data on size at age is also directly applicable to tag and recapture data, thus offering a more integrated approach than other similar methods.

following a discussion of seasonal growth by von bertalanffy and müller (1943), the first published version of the vbgf allowing for such oscillation was that of ursin (1963a, 1963b).
