wanaapa kwa mwenyezi mungu kuwa hawakusema; nao wamekwisha sema neno la ukafiri, na wakakufuru baada ya kusilimu kwao.
they (the hypocrites) swear by the name of god (to make others believe in what they are saying). they have spoken the testimony of disbelief and have then turned back to disbelief.

ewe mola mlezi wetu! tujaalie tuwe ni wenye kusilimu kwako, na pia miongoni mwa vizazi vyetu wawe umma ulio silimu kwako.
and make us submit, o lord, to your will, and our progeny a people submissive to you.

tujaalie tuwe ni wenye kusilimu kwako, na pia miongoni mwa vizazi vyetu wawe umma ulio silimu kwako. na utuonyeshe njia za ibada yetu na utusamehe.

sema: msinisimbulie kwa kusilimu kwenu. bali mwenyezi mungu ndiye aliye kufanyieni hisani kwa kukuongoeni kwenye imani, ikiwa nyinyi ni wakweli.
say: 'do not count your surrendering as a favour to me; nay, but rather god confers a favour upon you, in that he has guided you to belief, if it be that you are truthful.

wanaapa kwa mwenyezi mungu kuwa hawakusema; nao wamekwisha sema neno la ukafiri, na wakakufuru baada ya kusilimu kwao. na wakajihimu kufanya ambayo hawakuweza kuyafikia.
and they swear by allah that they did not say it; whereas indeed they had certainly uttered the words of disbelief, and after having entered islam turned disbelievers and had wished for what they did not get; and what annoyed them except that allah, and his noble messenger, made them prosperous with his grace?

sema: tumemuamini mwenyezi mungu, na tuliyo teremshiwa sisi, na aliyo teremshiwa ibrahim, na ismail, na is-haak na yaakub na wajukuu zao, na aliyo pewa musa na isa na manabii wengine kutoka kwa mola wao mlezi. hatubagui baina yao hata mmoja, na sisi ni wenye kusilimu kwake.
say thou: we believe in allah and in that which is sent down unto us, and that which was sent down unto ibrahim and isma'il and is-haq and ya'qub and the tribes, and that which was vouchsafed unto musa and 'isa and other prophets from their lord: we differentiate not between any of them, and unto him we are submistive.
