all grazing beasts of the flock are permitted to you except those which are recited to you hereinafter, but you are not allowed to hunt in the state of ihram (a state of pilgrim sanctity).

allah will certainly make a trial of you with something in (the matter of) the game that is well within reach of your hands and your lances, that allah may test who fears him unseen.

enyi mlio amini! mwenyezi mungu atakujaribuni kidogo kwa wanyama wa kuwinda inayo wafikia mikono yenu na mikuki yenu, ili mwenyezi mungu amjue nani anaye mkhofu kwa ghaibu.
believers, allah will test you by means of some hunting which you can catch with your hands and with your spears, in order that allah knows those who fear him in private.
