basi wasamehe, na waombee maghfira, na shauriana nao katika mambo. na ukisha kata shauri basi mtegemee mwenyezi mungu.
so excuse them and plead for forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs, and once you are resolved, put your trust in allah.

na lau ungeli kuwa mkali, mwenye moyo mgumu, bila ya shaka wangeli kukimbia. basi wasamehe, na waombee maghfira, na shauriana nao katika mambo.
and had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs.
