indeed satan seeks to cast enmity and hatred among you through wine and gambling, and to hinder you from the remembrance of allah and from prayer. will you, then, relinquish?
悪魔の望むところは，酒と賭矢によってあなたがたの間に，敵意と憎悪を起こさせ，あなたがたがアッラーを念じ礼拝を捧げるのを妨げようとすることである。それでもあなたがたは慎しまないのか。

satan only desires to precipitate enmity and hatred between you in regard to wine and arrow-shuffling, and to bar you from the remembrance of god, and from prayer. will you then desist?
悪魔の望むところは，酒と賭矢によってあなたがたの間に，敵意と憎悪を起こさせ，あなたがたがアッラーを念じ礼拝を捧げるのを妨げようとすることである。それでもあなたがたは慎しまないのか。

and the good deed and the evil deed will never be equal; o listener! repel the evil deed with a good one, thereupon the one between whom and you was enmity, will become like a close friend.
善と悪とは同じではない。（人が悪をしかけても）一層善行で悪を追い払え。そうすれば，互いの間に敵意ある者でも，親しい友のようになる。

also from those who say, ‘we are christians,’ we took their pledge; but they forgot a part of what they were reminded. so we stirred up enmity and hatred among them until the day of resurrection, and soon allah will inform them concerning what they had been doing.
