however i am appreciative of the cacti of mexico as well as of the orchids (cypripedium spp.) of the northern usa or the himalaya, however i admit to thinking the south american spider (species phoneutria) as fascinating as the asian wild chicken (gallus spp.) or the japanese giant salamander, last but not least the australian varans (varanus spp.) or arctic willows (salix spp.) are may main working fields! but despite all these factors the flora and fauna of the countries surrounding the mediterranean sea can be seen as the main fields of my researching endeavour looking for knowledge.
