facite praecepta mea et iudicia custodite et implete ea ut habitare possitis in terra absque ullo pavor
wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

si autem impius egerit paenitentiam ab omnibus peccatis suis quae operatus est et custodierit universa praecepta mea et fecerit iudicium et iustitiam vita vivet non morietu
but if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped ashtoreth the goddess of the zidonians, chemosh the god of the moabites, and milcom the god of the children of ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did david his father.
