« እኔም ያንን የተገዛችሁትን ( ወደፊት ) ተገዢ አይደለሁም ፡ ፡

say , " i will never disobey my lord , for i fear the punishment of a dreadful day . "
« እኔ በጌታዬ ባምጽ የታላቁን ቀን ቅጣት እፈራለሁ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

he said : ' my lord as you have favored me , i will never be a helper to the wrongdoer '
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በእኔ ላይ በመለገስህ ይሁንብኝ ( ከስህተቴ እጸጸታለሁ ) ፤ ለአመጸኞችም ፈጽሞ ረዳት አልሆንም አለ ፡ ፡

and i will leave you and those you invoke other than allah and will invoke my lord . i expect that i will not be in invocation to my lord unhappy . "
« እናንተንም ከአላህ ሌላ የምትግገዙትንም እርቃለሁ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬንም እግገዛለሁ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬን በመገዛት የማፍር አለመኾኔን እከጅላለሁ ፡ ፡ »

he said , ' my lord , forasmuch as thou hast blessed me , i will never be a partisan of the sinners . '
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በእኔ ላይ በመለገስህ ይሁንብኝ ( ከስህተቴ እጸጸታለሁ ) ፤ ለአመጸኞችም ፈጽሞ ረዳት አልሆንም አለ ፡ ፡

he said , " my lord , for the favor you bestowed upon me , i will never be an assistant to the criminals . "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በእኔ ላይ በመለገስህ ይሁንብኝ ( ከስህተቴ እጸጸታለሁ ) ፤ ለአመጸኞችም ፈጽሞ ረዳት አልሆንም አለ ፡ ፡

( moses ) said : " o lord , as you have been gracious to me i will never aid the guilty . "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በእኔ ላይ በመለገስህ ይሁንብኝ ( ከስህተቴ እጸጸታለሁ ) ፤ ለአመጸኞችም ፈጽሞ ረዳት አልሆንም አለ ፡ ፡

he said , " my lord , because of the favour that you have shown me , i vow that i will never be a helper of the guilty . "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በእኔ ላይ በመለገስህ ይሁንብኝ ( ከስህተቴ እጸጸታለሁ ) ፤ ለአመጸኞችም ፈጽሞ ረዳት አልሆንም አለ ፡ ፡

i will take him for my special service . " and when he had spoken to him , he said , " from now on you will dwell with us , honoured and trusted . "
ንጉሡም « እርሱን አምጡልኝ ለራሴ ግለኛ አደርገዋለሁና » አለ ፡ ፡ ባናገረውም ጊዜ « አንተ ዛሬ እኛ ዘንድ ባለሟል ታማኝ ነህ » አለው ፡ ፡

he replied : ' i will never send him with you until you swear by allah that you will bring him back to me , unless you are prevented ' and when they had given him their oath , he said : ' allah is the guardian of what we say '
« ካልተከበባችሁ በስተቀር እርሱን በእርግጥ የምታመጡልኝ ለመሆናችሁ ከአላህ የሆነን ቃል ኪዳን መተማመኛ እስከምትሰጡኝ ድረስ ከእናንተ ጋር ፈጽሞ አልልከውም » አላቸው ፡ ፡ መተማመኛቸውንም በሰጡት ጊዜ « አላህ በምንለው ሁሉ ላይ ምስክር ነው » አላቸው ፡ ፡

he [ jacob ] said , " i will never send him with you until you give me a solemn pledge , before god , that you will indeed bring him back to me , unless you yourselves are trapped [ in a compulsive situation ] . " and when they had given him their solemn pledge , [ jacob ] said , " god shall be witness to all that we say . "
« ካልተከበባችሁ በስተቀር እርሱን በእርግጥ የምታመጡልኝ ለመሆናችሁ ከአላህ የሆነን ቃል ኪዳን መተማመኛ እስከምትሰጡኝ ድረስ ከእናንተ ጋር ፈጽሞ አልልከውም » አላቸው ፡ ፡ መተማመኛቸውንም በሰጡት ጊዜ « አላህ በምንለው ሁሉ ላይ ምስክር ነው » አላቸው ፡ ፡
