እግዚአብሔርም ቢፈቅድ ይህን እናደርጋለን።

አሉ ፡ - « እኛ ወደ ጌታችን ተመላሾች ነን ፡ ፡ »

እናንተ ሁለት ከባዶች ( ሰዎችና ጋኔኖች ) ሆይ ! ለእናንተ ( መቆጣጠር ) በእርግጥ እናስባለን ፡ ፡

they said : no harm ; surely to our lord we go back ;
( እነርሱም ) አሉ « ጉዳት የለብንም ፡ ፡ እኛ ወደ ጌታችን ተመላሾች ነን ፡ ፡

they ask you concerning the mountains : " where will they go ? " say : " my lord will scatter them like dust ,
ከጋራዎችም ይጠይቁሃል ፤ በላቸው « ጌታዬ መበተንን ይበትናቸዋል ፡ ፡

if we will , we can make it salty . will you not be thankful ?
ብንሻ ኖሮ መርጋጋ ባደረግነው ነበር ፡ ፡ አታመሰግኑምን ?

and if we will , we can cripple them in their place ; so they can neither move forward , nor go back .
ብንሻም ኖሮ በስፍራቸው ላይ እንዳሉ ወደ ሌላ ፍጥረት በለወጠናቸው ነበር ፡ ፡ መኼድንም መመለስንም ባልቻሉም ነበር ፡ ፡

and thus will we make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn .
እንደዚሁም የበደለኞችን ከፊል በከፊሉ ላይ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ጥፋት ምክንያት እንሾማለን ፡ ፡

already some of its tokens have come . but when it does actually come upon them , where will any time be left for them to take heed ?
ሰዓቲቱንም ድንገት የምትመጣባቸው መኾንዋን እንጅ ይጠባበቃሉን ? ምልክቶችዋም በእርግጥ መጥተወል ፡ ፡ በመጣቻቸውም ጊዜ ማስታወሳቸው ለእነርሱ እንዴት ይጠቅማቸዋል ?

" when we have died and become dust and bones , will we be raised up again ?
« በሞትንና ዐፈርና አጥንቶች በኾን ጊዜ እኛ ተቀስቃሾች ነን » አሉ ፡ ፡

were it our will , we could crumble it to dry powder , and ye would be left in wonderment ,
ብነሻ ኖሮ ደረቅ ስብርብር ባደረግነውና የምትደነቁም በኾናችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡

and if it were our will , we could make angels from amongst you , succeeding each other on the earth .
ብንሻም ኖሮ በምድር ላይ ከእናነተ ምትክ መላእክትን ባደረግን ነበር ፡ ፡

" what ! when we have died and become dust and bones , will we be brought back to life again ,
« በሞትንና ዐፈርና አጥንቶችም በኾን ጊዜ እኛ የምንቀሰቀስ ነን ?

and if we will , we can drown them , so there would be no help in their distress , nor would they be saved .
ብንሻም እናሰጥማቸዋለን ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ረዳት የላቸውም ፡ ፡ እነርሱም የሚድዳኑ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

" so taste [ the penalty ] , and never will we increase you except in torment . "
ቅመሱም ቅጣትንም እንጅ ( ሌላን ) አንጨምራችሁም ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

and if we should will , we could drown them ; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them , nor would they be saved
ብንሻም እናሰጥማቸዋለን ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ረዳት የላቸውም ፡ ፡ እነርሱም የሚድዳኑ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

and the disbelievers said , “ will we , when we and our forefathers have turned into dust , be removed again ? ”
እነዚያም የካዱት አሉ « እኛም አባቶቻችንም ዐፈር በኾን ጊዜ እኛ ( ከመቃብር ) የምንወጣ ነን

if ( such ) were our will , we could send down to them from the sky a sign , to which they would bend their necks in humility .
ብንሻ በእነሱ ላይ ከሰማይ ተዓምረን እናወርድና አንገቶቻቸው ( መሪዎቻቸው ) ለእርሷ ተዋራጆች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡
