and we gave to him isaac and jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture.

certainly we gave the children of israel the book, judgement and prophethood and we provided them with all the good things. we gave them an advantage over all the nations,

and he found you unaware (of the quran, its legal laws, and prophethood, etc.) and guided you?

and indeed we gave the descendants of israel the book, and the rule, and the prophethood, and gave good things for sustenance and gave them superiority over all others of their time.

and we gave him isaac and jacob, and we ordained among his descendants prophethood and the book, and we gave him his reward in this world, and in the hereafter he will indeed be among the righteous.
och vi skänkte [abraham sonen] isak och [sonsonen] jakob och kallade flera av hans efterkommande till profeter och skänkte dem uppenbarelsen. och vi gav honom hans lön i denna värld och i det kommande livet har han sin plats bland de rättfärdiga.

and verily we gave the children of israel the scripture and the command and the prophethood, and provided them with good things and favoured them above (all) peoples;
vi gav israels barn skriften och rätt att styra och döma [i enlighet med guds lag] och vi lät profeter uppstå bland dem; och vi sörjde för dem med goda och nyttiga ting och vi visade dem sådan nåd som vi inte har visat något annat folk.

and we bestowed ishaq and yaqub to him, and kept the prophethood and the book among his descendants, and we gave him his reward in the world; and in the hereafter he is indeed among those who deserve our proximity.
och vi skänkte [abraham sonen] isak och [sonsonen] jakob och kallade flera av hans efterkommande till profeter och skänkte dem uppenbarelsen. och vi gav honom hans lön i denna värld och i det kommande livet har han sin plats bland de rättfärdiga.

and we bestowed on him isaac and jacob, and we established the prophethood and the scripture among his seed, and we gave him his reward in the world, and lo! in the hereafter he verily is among the righteous.
och vi skänkte [abraham sonen] isak och [sonsonen] jakob och kallade flera av hans efterkommande till profeter och skänkte dem uppenbarelsen. och vi gav honom hans lön i denna värld och i det kommande livet har han sin plats bland de rättfärdiga.

"who shall inherit me, and inherit (also) the posterity of ya'qub (jacob) (inheritance of the religious knowledge and prophethood, not the wealth, etc.). and make him, my lord, one with whom you are well-pleased!".
som kan bli min arvinge och arvinge till jakobs hus; och gör honom sådan att du finner behag i honom!"
