a wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
ပညာရှိသောသူသည် တန်ခိုးရှိ၏။ ပညာ အတတ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံသောသူသည် ခွန်အားတိုးပွါးတတ်၏။

surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.
အကယ်စင်စစ်၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းသည် ပညာရှိ သောသူကို ရူးစေတတ်၏။ တံစိုးသည်လည်း စိတ်နှလုံးကို ယိုယွင်းစေတတ်၏။

let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသော သူတို့သည် စကားပြောပါ စေ။ ပညာရှိသော သူတို့သည် ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင် ပါစေ။

a reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.
မိုက်သောသူသည် ဒဏ်ချက်တရာကို အမှုထား သည်ထက်၊ ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ဆုံးမသော စကားကို သာ၍ အမှုထားတတ်၏။

a fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
မိုက်သောသူသည် မိမိကြံစည်သမျှကို ဘော်ပြ တတ်၏။ပညာရှိသောသူမူကား၊ အဆင်မသင့်မှီ ထိမ်ဝှက် တတ်၏။

should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
ပညာရှိသောသူသည် လေနှင့်တူသော အချည်း နှီးစကားကို ပြောသင့်သလော။ မိမိဝမ်းကို အရှေ့လေ နှင့်ပြည့်စေသင့်သလော။

a wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.
ပညာရှိသောသူ၏ နှလုံးသည် မိမိလက်ျာလက် ၌ ရှိ၏။ မိုက်သောသူ၏နှလုံးမူကား၊ မိမိလက်ဝဲလက်၌ ရှိ၏။

a wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ကြောက်၍ ဒုစရိုက်ကို ရှောင်တတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူမူကား မာနကြီး၍ ရဲရင့် တတ်၏။

if a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
ပညာရှိသောသူသည် မိုက်သောသူနှင့် အမှု တွေ့လျှင်၊ စိတ်ဆိုးသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ပြုံးရယ်သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ အားရစရာအကြောင်းမရှိ။

give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
ပညာရှိသော သူကိုဆုံးမလျှင်၊ သူသည် သာ၍ ပညာရှိလိမ့်မည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူကို သွန်သင်လျှင်၊ သူသည် သိပ္ပံအတတ်တိုးပွါးလိမ့်မည်။

now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood.
ထိုသူကို အပြစ်မရှိသော သူကဲ့သို့မမှတ်ရဘဲ၊ သင်သည် လိမ္မာသော သူဖြစ်၍ သူ၌အဘယ်သို့ စီရင် သင့်သည်ကို သိသည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ဆံပင်ဖြူသော ထိုသူ၏ ခေါင်းကို အသေသတ်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် မရဏာနိုင်ငံသို့ ဆင်းစေလော့ဟု မှာထားတော်မူပြီးမှ၊

therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, i will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
အကြင်သူသည် ငါဟောပြောသော ဤစကားကို ကြား၍နားထောင်၏။ ထိုသူသည် ကျောက်ပေါ်မှာ အိမ်ဆောက်သော ပညာရှိနှင့် တူကြောင်းကို ငါပုံပြမည်။

and who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein i have laboured, and wherein i have shewed myself wise under the sun. this is also vanity.
ထိုသူသည် ပညာရှိမည်လော၊ မိုက်မည်လောဟု အဘယ်သူ ပြောနိုင်သနည်း။ ထိုသူသည် ငါကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သမျှ၊ နေအောက်မှာငါ့ပညာကို ထင်ရှားပြလေ သမျှသော အမှုတို့ကို အစိုးရလိမ့်မည်၊ ထိုအမှုအရာသည် လည်း အနတ္တဖြစ်၏။

i speak to your shame. is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
ထိုသို့ဆိုသော်၊ သင်တို့ရှက်စေခြင်းငှါ ပြောဆို၏။ သင်တို့တွင် ပညာရှိတစုံတယောက်မျှ မရှိသလော။ ညီအစ်ကိုချင်းတို့၏ အမှုကို စီရင်ဆုံးဖြတ်နိုင်သောသူ တစုံတယောက်မျှမရှိသလော။

ဒါဝိဒ်၏ ဘထွေးတော်ယောနသန်သည်တိုင်ပင် မှူးမတ်ပညာရှိကျမ်းတတ်ဖြစ်၏။ ဟခမောနိသား ယေဟေလသည် ရှင်ဘုရင်၏သားတော်တို့ အပေါင်း အဘော် ဖြစ်၏။

ဘုရားသခင်ပြုတော်မူသော အမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ငါကြည့်ရှုသောအခါ၊ နေအောက်မှာ ပြုသောအမှုများကို လူသည် စစ်၍မကုန်နိုင်။ ကြိုးစား၍ စစ်သော်လည်း၊ အကုန်အစင်မသိနိုင်။ ထိုမျှမက၊ ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ငါသိမည်ဟု ကြံသော်လည်း၊ အကြံမမြောက်နိုင်ရာ။
