Եւ Սիմոնի անունը Պետրոս դրեց

and peter went out, and wept bitterly.
Եւ Պետրոսը դուրս ելնելով՝ դառնօրէն լաց եղաւ:

peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
Պետրոսը դարձեալ ուրացաւ. եւ իսկոյն մի աքաղաղ կանչեց:

then peter said, lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
Եւ Պետրոսն ասաց. «Ահա մենք մեր ամէն ինչը թողեցինք եւ եկանք քո յետեւից»:

now philip was of bethsaida, the city of andrew and peter.
Եւ Փիլիպպոսը Բեթսայիդայից էր, Անդրէասի եւ Պետրոսի քաղաքից:

then answered peter and said unto him, declare unto us this parable.
Պետրոսը պատասխան տուեց նրան եւ ասաց. «Այս առակը բացատրի՛ր մեզ»:

but peter said unto him, although all shall be offended, yet will not i.
Պետրոսը պատասխանեց եւ ասաց նրան. «Թէկուզ բոլորն էլ գայթակղուեն, բայց ես չեմ գայթակղուի»:

peter seeing him saith to jesus, lord, and what shall this man do?
Պետրոսը, նրան տեսնելով, ասաց Յիսուսին. «Տէ՛ր, իսկ սա ի՞նչ կը լինի»:

then peter began to say unto him, lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
Պետրոսն սկսեց նրան ասել. «Ահաւասիկ մենք թողել ենք ամէն բան եւ եկել ենք քո յետեւից»:

and he spake that saying openly. and peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
Եւ այս խօսքը ասաց բացայայտօրէն. եւ Պետրոսը նրան մի կողմ տանելով՝ սկսեց յանդիմանել նրան:

and he sent peter and john, saying, go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
Եւ նա ուղարկեց Պետրոսին եւ Յովհաննէսին ու ասաց. «Գնացէ՛ք, պատրաստեցէ՛ք մեզ համար Պասեքի ընթրիքը, որ ուտենք»:

and as peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
Եւ մինչ Պետրոսը դեռ ներքեւում, գաւթում էր, քահանայապետի մի աղախինը եկաւ եւ տեսաւ նրան տաքանալիս:

and he suffered no man to follow him, save peter, and james, and john the brother of james.
Եւ ոչ ոքի թոյլ չտուեց իր հետ գնալ, այլ միայն՝ Պետրոսին, Յակոբոսին եւ նրա եղբօրը՝ Յովհաննէսին:

and as he sat upon the mount of olives over against the temple, peter and james and john and andrew asked him privately,
Եւ մինչ նստած էր նա Ձիթենեաց լերան վրայ, տաճարի դիմաց, Պետրոսն ու Յակոբոսը եւ Յովհաննէսն ու Անդրէասը, առանձին, հարցրին նրան.

and after six days jesus taketh peter, james, and john his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
Եւ վեց օր յետոյ Յիսուս իր հետ վերցրեց Պետրոսին, Յակոբոսին եւ նրա եղբօրը՝ Յովհաննէսին եւ նրանց հանեց, առանձին, մի բարձր լեռ

and after a little while another saw him, and said, thou art also of them. and peter said, man, i am not.
Եւ քիչ յետոյ մէկ ուրիշը տեսաւ նրան եւ ասաց. «Դո՛ւ էլ նրանցից ես»: Պետրոսն ասաց. «Ո՛վ մարդ, ես նրանցից չեմ»:

and when jesus was come into peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
Յիսուս Պետրոսի տունը գալով՝ տեսաւ, որ նրա զոքանչը տաքութեան մէջ պառկած էր:

and after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to peter, surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
Եւ մի քիչ յետոյ այնտեղ գտնուողները, մօտենալով, Պետրոսին ասացին. «Իրօք, դու էլ նրանցից ես, քանի որ քո խօսուածքն էլ քեզ յայտնի է անում»:

and he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto peter, simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
Եւ Յիսուս եկաւ ու նրանց քնած գտաւ. եւ Պետրոսին ասաց. «Սիմո՛ն, ննջո՞ւմ ես. չկարողացա՞ր մէկ ժամ արթուն մնալ:

and simon peter followed jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with jesus into the palace of the high priest.
Եւ Յիսուսի յետեւից գնում էին Սիմոն Պետրոսը եւ միւս աշակերտը: Եւ քանի որ այդ աշակերտը քահանայապետին ծանօթ էր, Յիսուսի հետ մտաւ քահանայապետի տան գաւիթը:
