የሙሳም ወሬ በእርግጥ መጥቶሃል ፡ ፡

did the story of the armies reach you ?
የሰራዊቶቹ ወሬ መጣልህን ?

then did the sorcerers fall down , prostrate in adoration ,
ድግምተኞቹም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወደቁ ፡ ፡

and certainly did the companions of thamud deny the messengers .
የሒጅርም ሰዎች መልክተኞቹን በእርግጥ አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡

we never wronged them , but they themselves did the wrong .
አልበደልናቸውምም ፤ ግን በዳዮቹ እነርሱው ነበሩ ፡ ፡

and so too did the people of abraham and the people of lot ;
የኢብራሂምም ሕዝቦች የሉጥም ሕዝቦች ( አስተባብለዋል ) ፡ ፡

and you did the deed which you did . you are certainly ungrateful . "
« ያችንም የሠራሃትን ሥራህን አልሠራህምን አንተም ከውለታ ቢሶቹ ነህ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

and ( so did ) the people of ibrahim and the people of lut .
የኢብራሂምም ሕዝቦች የሉጥም ሕዝቦች ( አስተባብለዋል ) ፡ ፡

neither did the heavens weep for them , nor the earth , nor were they granted respite .
ሰማይና ምድርም በእነርሱ ላይ አላለቀሱም ፡ ፡ የሚቆዩም አልነበሩም ፡ ፡

and before them the people of nuh belied , and so did the dwellers of rass and the thamud .
ከእነርሱ በፊት የኑሕ ሕዝቦችና የረሰስ ሰዎች ፤ ሰሙድም አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡

before them the people of noah denied the truth , and so did the dwellers of russ , and thamood .
ከእነርሱ በፊት የኑሕ ሕዝቦችና የረሰስ ሰዎች ፤ ሰሙድም አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡

before them the people of noah denied the truth , as did the ' ad and pharaoh of the stakes ,
ከእነርሱ በፊት የኑሕ ሕዝቦች ፣ ዓድም ፣ የችካሎች ባለቤት የሆነው ፈርዖንም አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡

and did the news of the two disputants reach you ? when they scaled over the wall into dawud s mosque ’ .
የተከራካሪዎቹም ወሬ መጥቶልሃልን ? ምኩራቡን በተንጠላጠሉ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

( o prophet ) , did the story of abraham 's honoured guests reach you ?
የተከበሩት የኢብራሂም እንግዶች ወሬ መጥቶሃልን ?

and if they reject you , then already before you did the people of nuh and ad and samood reject ( prophets ) .
ቢያስተባብሉህም ከእነሱ በፊት የኑሕ ሕዝቦች ዓድና ሰሙድም በእርግጥ አስተባብለዋል ፡ ፡

are they waiting for the angels to come to them , or the fulfillment of your lord 's will ? those who went before them did the same .
( ከሓዲዎች ) መላእክት ወደ እነሱ መምጣትን ወይም የጌታህ ትእዛዝ መምጣቱን እንጂ አይጠባበቁም ፡ ፡ ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩት እንደዚህ ሠርተዋል ፡ ፡ አላህም አልበደላቸውም ፤ ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን የሚበድሉ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

but they ( the unbelievers ) contrived a plot , and god did the like ; and god 's plan is the best .
( አይሁዶችም ) አደሙ አላህም አድማቸውን መለሰባቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ከአድመኞች ሁሉ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

did the time of covenant seem too long to you ? or did you wish the wrath of your lord to fall upon you that you broke the promise you had made to me ? "
ሙሳም ወደ ሰዎቹ የተቆጣ ያዘነ ኾኖ ተመለሰ ፡ ፡ « ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ጌታችሁ መልካም ተስፋን አልቀጠራችሁምን ቀጠሮው በእናንተ ላይ ረዘመባችሁን » ወይስ በእናንተ ላይ ከጌታችሁ ቅጣት ሊወርድባችሁ ፈለጋችሁና ቀጠሮየን አፈረሳችሁን አላቸው ፡ ፡
