o you who believe! remember allah, remembering frequently,
ئه‌ی ئه‌و که‌سانه‌ی ئیمان و باوه‌ڕتان هێناوه زۆر زۆر یادی خوا بکه‌ن (هه‌میشه ناوی پیرۆزی ئه‌وتان له‌یاد بێ له دڵ و ده‌روونتانا جۆش بخواو بێته سه‌ر زارتان).

go you and your brother with my communications and be not remiss in remembering me;
ده‌ی بڕۆ خۆت و براکه‌ت هاوڕێ له‌گه‌ڵ موعجیزه‌کانمدا، نه‌که‌ن له‌گه‌یاندنی په‌یامی مندا سستی و خاوی بکه‌ن.

go with my signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering me.
ده‌ی بڕۆ خۆت و براکه‌ت هاوڕێ له‌گه‌ڵ موعجیزه‌کانمدا، نه‌که‌ن له‌گه‌یاندنی په‌یامی مندا سستی و خاوی بکه‌ن.

go, you and your brother, with my signs, and do not be remiss in remembering me.
ده‌ی بڕۆ خۆت و براکه‌ت هاوڕێ له‌گه‌ڵ موعجیزه‌کانمدا، نه‌که‌ن له‌گه‌یاندنی په‌یامی مندا سستی و خاوی بکه‌ن.

and hell is brought near, that day will man remember, but of what avail will then remembering be?
ئه‌و ڕۆژه دۆزه‌خ ده‌هێنرێت و نیشان ده‌درێت، جا ئه‌و ڕۆژه (ئاده‌میزادی بێ باوه‌ڕ) ده‌زانێت چ په‌ندێکی به‌سه‌ر خۆی هێناوه‌، به‌ڵام تازه به‌خۆدا هاتنه‌وه و په‌شیمانی هیچ سوودێکی نیه و دادی نادات؟!

so go forth, both you and your brother, with my signs, and do not slacken in remembering me.
ده‌ی بڕۆ خۆت و براکه‌ت هاوڕێ له‌گه‌ڵ موعجیزه‌کانمدا، نه‌که‌ن له‌گه‌یاندنی په‌یامی مندا سستی و خاوی بکه‌ن.

believers, do not let your wealth and children divert you from remembering god. wwhoever is diverted will suffer a great loss.
ئه‌ی ئه‌و که‌سانه‌ی باوه‌ڕتان هێناوه‌، هه‌وڵ بده‌ن نه ماڵ و سامانتان، نه ڕۆڵه‌کانتان، نه‌بنه هۆی ئه‌وه‌ی که له‌یادی خواو به‌ده‌ستهێنانی ڕه‌زامه‌ندی ئه‌و که‌مته‌رخه‌می و بێ ئاگاتان بکه‌ن، جا هه‌رکه‌س له یادی خوا که‌م ته‌رخه‌می بکات، ئا ئه‌وانه هه‌ر خۆیان خه‌ساره‌تمه‌ندو زه‌ره‌رمه‌ندن.

they said, "by god, will you keep on remembering joseph until your health is ruined, and you die?"
(کوڕه‌کان به‌زه‌ییان به باوکیاندا هاته‌وه‌و) وتیان: سوێند به خوا تۆ هه‌ر واز ناهێنیت یادی یوسف ده‌که‌یت و ناوی ده‌به‌یت تا وات لێ دێت په‌کت ده‌که‌وێت یاخود تیا له تیاچوون ده‌بیت.

that we might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.
تا بیکه‌نه یادگاری و بێدار که‌ره‌وه بۆ ئێوه و له‌گوێی بگرێت ئه‌و گوێیانه‌ی هۆشمه‌ندن.

they said, ‘by allah! you will go on remembering joseph until you wreck your health or perish.’
(کوڕه‌کان به‌زه‌ییان به باوکیاندا هاته‌وه‌و) وتیان: سوێند به خوا تۆ هه‌ر واز ناهێنیت یادی یوسف ده‌که‌یت و ناوی ده‌به‌یت تا وات لێ دێت په‌کت ده‌که‌وێت یاخود تیا له تیاچوون ده‌بیت.

as are not diverted by trade and merchandise from remembering him and from establishing salat and paying zakat, for they fear the day when the hearts will be overturned and the eyes will become petrified.
پیاوانێك ستایشی خوا ده‌که‌ن و له‌و مزگه‌وتانه‌دا که بازرگانی و کڕین و فرۆشتن سه‌ر گه‌رمیان ناکات و غافڵ نابن له یادی خواو ئه‌نجامدانی نوێژه‌کان و به‌خشینی زه‌کات و له ڕۆژێك ده‌ترسن که دڵان و چاوان تیایدا ئاوه‌ژوو ده‌بن (له ترس و هه‌یبه‌تی ئه‌و ڕۆژه‌).

they said, "by allah, you will not cease remembering joseph until you become fatally ill or become of those who perish."
(کوڕه‌کان به‌زه‌ییان به باوکیاندا هاته‌وه‌و) وتیان: سوێند به خوا تۆ هه‌ر واز ناهێنیت یادی یوسف ده‌که‌یت و ناوی ده‌به‌یت تا وات لێ دێت په‌کت ده‌که‌وێت یاخود تیا له تیاچوون ده‌بیت.

the hypocrites seek to trick god, but god is tricking them. when they stand up to pray they stand up lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering god save a little;
به‌ڕاستی دووڕووه‌کان (وا ده‌زانن) فێڵ له خوا ده‌که‌ن (له‌کاتێکدا) ئه‌و زاته فێڵه‌کانیان پووچ ده‌کاته‌وه (نازانن که دیار و نادیار، لای خوا ڕوون و ئاشکرایه‌)، هه‌ر کاتێکیش (بۆ ڕیاو ڕووپامایی) هه‌ڵده‌ستن بۆ نوێژ، زۆر به‌له‌ش گرانیی و ته‌مه‌ڵیی هه‌ڵده‌ستن، ئه‌وانه ڕیایی و ڕوپامایی بۆ خه‌ڵکی ده‌که‌ن، زۆر که‌م یادی خوا ده‌که‌ن.

the hypocrites indeed seek to deceive allah, but it is he who outwits them. when they stand up for prayer, they stand up lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering allah except a little,
به‌ڕاستی دووڕووه‌کان (وا ده‌زانن) فێڵ له خوا ده‌که‌ن (له‌کاتێکدا) ئه‌و زاته فێڵه‌کانیان پووچ ده‌کاته‌وه (نازانن که دیار و نادیار، لای خوا ڕوون و ئاشکرایه‌)، هه‌ر کاتێکیش (بۆ ڕیاو ڕووپامایی) هه‌ڵده‌ستن بۆ نوێژ، زۆر به‌له‌ش گرانیی و ته‌مه‌ڵیی هه‌ڵده‌ستن، ئه‌وانه ڕیایی و ڕوپامایی بۆ خه‌ڵکی ده‌که‌ن، زۆر که‌م یادی خوا ده‌که‌ن.

believers, on friday when the call for prayer is made, try to attend prayer (remembering god) and leave off all business. this would be better for you if only you knew it.
ئه‌ی ئه‌وانه‌ی باوڕتان هێناوه کاتێ که بانگ درا بۆ نوێژ له ڕۆژی هه‌ینیدا، ئێوه به په‌له بچن به‌ده‌م یادی خواوه و واز له کڕین و فرۆشتن بهێنن، چونکه ئه‌و کاره‌تان چاکتره بۆتان ئه‌گه‌ر بزانن و تێبگه‌ن.
