their account falls only upon my lord, were you but aware.
xisaabtooda eebe unbaa leh haddaad wax garanaysaan.

saying: "it were you who imposed yourselves upon us."
waxayna dhaheen kuwii waxraacay (raaciyadii) waxaa ahaydeen kuwo nooga yimaadda xaga midig (wanaaga).

and were you to die or be slain, it is to allah that you will all be mustered.
haddaad dhimataan ama laydin dilo xagga eebe umbaa laydiin celin.

they will be waited upon by immortal youths, whom, were you to see them, you will suppose them to be scattered pearls.
waxaana u ageegi wiilal waari, haddaad aragtana aad u malayn jawhar la saydhay.

idinkana siiyey wax kastood warsataan, haddad tirisaanna nicmada eebana ma koobi kartaan, dadse waa dulmi badane gaalnimo badan.

nor were you by the side of the mount when we proclaimed. rather, it was a mercy from your lord, that you may warn people who received no warner before you, so that they may take heed.
mana aadan ahayn dhinicii (buurta) dhuur markaan u dhawaaqnay laakiin waa naxariista eebahaa inaad u digto qoom uusan u imaan dige kaa horreeyey inay waantoobaan.

and it is with the same directive that we revealed to you this arabic writ. were you indeed to follow the vain desires of people after the true knowledge has come to you, none will be your supporter against allah, and none will have the power to shield you from his punishment.
saasaana kuugu soo dejinnay xukun carabi ah, haddaad raacdo hawadoodana intuu cilmi ku soo gaadhay ka dib, kama helaysid xagga eebe gargaare iyo dhawre.

but, to the unbelievers (it will be said): 'were my verses not recited to you, but you were proud and were you not a sinful nation'
kuwa gaaloobayse waxaa lagu dhihi miyeyna ahayn aayaadkeyga kuwa korkiina lagu akhriyo ood iskibriseen noqoteen qoom dambi falayaal ah.
