"அவர்களில் அந்தரங்க - சுத்தியுள்ள (உன்னருள் பெற்ற) உன் நல்லடியார்களைத் தவிர" என்று கூறினான்.

இவர்கள் தாம் (துன்பங்களைப் பொறுமையுடன்) சகித்துக் கொண்டு, தம் இறைவன் மீது முற்றிலும் சார்ந்து முழு நம்பிக்கை வைப்பவர்கள்.

but not such of them as are thy bondmen single-hearted.
"அவர்களில் அந்தரங்க - சுத்தியுள்ள (உன்னருள் பெற்ற) உன் நல்லடியார்களைத் தவிர" என்று கூறினான்.

such men as are patient, and put their trust in their lord.
(ஏனெனில்) அவர்கள் பொறுமையைக் கொண்டார்கள்; மேலும் தங்கள் இறைவன் மீதே முழு நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

இவர்கள் தாம் (துன்பங்களைப் பொறுமையுடன்) சகித்துக் கொண்டு, தம் இறைவன் மீது முற்றிலும் சார்ந்து முழு நம்பிக்கை வைப்பவர்கள்.

this is an exposition for mankind, and a guidance, and an admonition for such as are godfearing.
இது மனிதர்களுக்கு (சத்தியத்தின்) தெளிவான விளக்கமாகவும், பயபக்தியுடையோருக்கு நேர் வழிகாட்டியாகவும், நற்போதனையாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.

but now use such of the spoils as are lawful and good, and fear god, for god is forgiving and kind.
ஆகவே, எதிரிகளிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்குப் போரில் கிடைத்த பொருள்களை தூய்மையான - ஹலாலான-வையாகக் கருதி புசியுங்கள்; அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே அஞ்சுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்போனாகவும், கிருபையுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

save such as are patient, and do deeds of righteousness; for them awaits forgiveness and a mighty wage.
ஆனால் (துன்பங்களைப்) பொறுமையுடன் சகித்து எவர் நற்கருமங்கள் செய்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும், மகத்தான நற்கூலியும் உண்டு.

and we made it a punishment exemplary for all the former times and for the latter, and an admonition to such as are godfearing.
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அக்காலத்தில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும், அதற்குப் பின் வரக்கூடியவர்களுக்கும் படிப்பினையாகவும்; பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்கு நல்ல உபதேசமாகவும் ஆக்கினோம்.

as are not diverted by trade and merchandise from remembering him and from establishing salat and paying zakat, for they fear the day when the hearts will be overturned and the eyes will become petrified.
(அவ்வாறு துதி செய்யும்) மனிதர்களை அல்லாஹ்வை தியானிப்பதை விட்டும், தொழுகையை முறையாக நிறைவேற்றுவதை விட்டும் ஜகாத் கொடுப்பதை விட்டும் அவர்களுடைய வாணிபமோ கொடுக்கல் வாங்கல்களோ பாராமுகமாக்கமாட்டா. இதயங்களும், பார்வைகளும் கலங்கித் தடுமாற்றமடையுமே அந்த (இறுதி) நாளை அவர்கள் அஞ்சுவார்கள்.

such as are niggardly, and bid other men to be niggardly, and themselves conceal the bounty that god has given them. we have prepared for the unbelievers a humbling chastisement,
அத்தகையோர் உலோபத்தனம் செய்வதுடன், (பிற) மனிதர்களையும் உலோபித்தனம் செய்யும்படித் தூண்டி அல்லாஹ் தன் அருட்கொடையினின்று அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததை மறைத்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள்;. அத்தகைய நன்றி கெட்டவர்களுக்கு இழிவான தண்டனையை நாம் சித்தப்படுத்தி வைத்துள்ளோம்.

and vie one with another for forgiveness from your lord, and for a paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil);
இன்னும் நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனின் மன்னிப்பைப் பெறுவதற்கும், சுவனபதியின் பக்கமும் விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள்;. அதன் (சுவனபதியின்) அகலம் வானங்கள், பூமியைப் போலுள்ளது. அது பயபக்தியுடையோருக்காகவே தயார் செய்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

and marry such of you as are solitary and the pious of your slaves and maid-servants. if they be poor, allah will enrich them of his bounty. allah is of ample means, aware.
இன்னும், உங்களில் வாழ்க்கைத் துணை இல்லா (ஆடவர், பெண்டி)ருக்கும், அவ்வாறே (வாழ்க்கைத் துணையில்லா) ஸாலிஹான உங்கள் (ஆண், பெண்) அடிமைகளுக்கும் விவாகம் செய்து வையுங்கள்; அவர்கள் ஏழைகளாக இருந்தால், அல்லாஹ் தன் நல்லருளைக் கொண்டு அவர்களைச் சீமான்களாக்கி வைப்பான்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் (கொடையில்) விசாலமானவன். (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிந்தவன்.
