tức thì, theo lịnh truyền của vua bên-xát-sa, người ta mặc màu tía cho Ða-ni-ên; đeo vào cổ người một vòng vàng, và rao ra rằng người được dự chức thứ ba trong việc chánh trị nhà nước.

vua bên-xát-sa đương nhấm rượu, truyền đem những khí mạnh bằng vàng và bạc mà vua nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, cha mình, đã lấy trong đền thờ tại giê-ru-sa-lem, hầu cho vua và các đại thần, cùng các hoàng hậu và cung phi vua dùng mà uống.
