secondo la tradizione, la processione con la sacra immagine compiva un determinato percorso all'interno della città fermandosi in numerose chiese e nella cattedrale. il corteo era aperto dai "comandatori", seguiva poi lo stendardo della chiesa metropolitana e quello della badia fiorentina: poi gli ordini religiosi.
according to the tradition, the procession with sacred imaged followed a pre-determined journey within city, stopping in many churches and in the cathedral. the cortege was opened by the “comandatori” (commanders), then there were the banners of both the metropolitan church and of the badia fiorentina, and afterwards the religious orders.
