В това отношение, както Съдът е изтъкнал в точка 31 от Решение от 18 декември 2007 г. по дело a (c-101/05, все още непубликувано в Сборника), дори либерализирането на движенията на капитали с третите страни да може действително да преследва цели, различни от тази за осъществяване на вътрешния пазар, като например тези за осигуряване на доверието в единната валута на Общността на световните финансови пазари и поддържането в държавитечленки на финансови центрове от световна величина, трябва да се отбележи, че когато действието на принципа на свободното движение на капиталите е било разширено с член 56, параграф 1 ЕО по отношение на движенията на капитали между третите страни и държавитечленки, последните са направили избора да прогласят този принцип в същия член и със същите изрази за движенията на капитали, които се осъществяват във вътрешността на Общността и тези, които се отнасят до отношения с трети страни.
in that regard, as the court held in paragraph 31 of the judgment in case c-101/05 a [2007] ecr i-11531, even if the liberalisation of the movement of capital with third countries may pursue objectives other than that of establishing the internal market, such as, in particular, that of ensuring the credibility of the single community currency on world financial markets and maintaining financial centres with a worldwide dimension within the member states, it is clear that, when the principle of free movement of capital was extended, pursuant to article 56(1) ec, to movements of capital between third countries and the member states, the latter chose to enshrine that principle in that article and in the same terms for movements of capital taking place within the community and for those relating to relations with third countries.
