let my people

fugavitque iosue amalech et populum eius in ore gladi
and joshua discomfited amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

et populum pauperem salvum facies oculisque tuis excelsos humiliabi
and the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.

ponamque divisionem inter populum meum et populum tuum cras erit signum istu
and i will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.

nunc enim extendens manum percutiam te et populum tuum peste peribisque de terr
for now i will stretch out my hand, that i may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

deus autem qui habitare fecit nomen suum ibi dissipet omnia regna et populum qui extenderit manum suam ut repugnet et dissipet domum dei illam quae est in hierusalem ego darius statui decretum quod studiose impleri vol
and the god that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of god which is at jerusalem. i darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.

and afterward, saith the lord, i will deliver zedekiah king of judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of nebuchadrezzar king of babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.
