sic mortui ascendent ut viventes cadeant
to the living

potestis enim omnes per singulos prophetare ut omnes discant et omnes exhortentu
for ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

priusquam intellegerent spinae vestrae ramnum sicut viventes sicut in ira absorbet vo
for thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

discant autem et nostri bonis operibus praeesse ad usus necessarios ut non sint infructuos
and let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

si mortui estis cum christo ab elementis mundi quid adhuc tamquam viventes in mundo decerniti
wherefore if ye be dead with christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

for the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto god, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto god.

sin autem novam rem fecerit dominus ut aperiens terra os suum degluttiat eos et omnia quae ad illos pertinent descenderintque viventes in infernum scietis quod blasphemaverint dominu
but if the lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the lord.
