god grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change; courage to change the things i can; and wisdom to know the difference. living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is, not as i would have it; trusting that he will make all things right if i surrender to his will; that i may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever in the next. amen.

uwubhekile umthandazo wabachushuluzayo, akawudela umthandazo wabo.
he will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

uzigqubuthele ngelifu, ukuze ungaphumeli umthandazo wethu.
thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

yiva ke emazulwini umthandazo wabo, nokutarhuzisa kwabo, ubagwebele.
then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

nakuba kungekho kugonyamela ezandleni zam, uqaqambile umthandazo wam.
not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.

ukuvile uyehova ukutarhuzisa kwam; uyehova umthandazo wam uyawamkela.
the lord hath heard my supplication; the lord will receive my prayer.

blessed be god, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

yehova, uya kuliva izwi lam kwakusasa, kwakusasa ndiya kuwusingisa kuwe umthandazo wam, ndibonisele.

ekutyhafeni komphefumlo wam ngaphakathi kwam, ndakhumbula uyehova: wafika kuwe umthandazo wam etempileni yakho engcwele.
when my soul fainted within me i remembered the lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
