and it came to pass the same night, that the word of god came to nathan, saying,

kwathi ngobo busuku, lafika ilizwi likayehova kunatan, lisithi,
and it came to pass that night, that the word of the lord came unto nathan, saying,

kwathi, uisaya engekaphumi kophakathi umzi, lafika ilizwi likayehova kuye, lisithi,
and it came to pass, afore isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the lord came to him, saying,

lafika ke ilizwi likayehova kuyehu, unyana kahanani, ngenxa kabhahesha, lisithi,
then the word of the lord came to jehu the son of hanani against baasha, saying,

wada weza unyangelemihla, wabagwebela abangcwele bosenyangweni, lafika ixesha lokuba abangcwele babume ubukumkani.
until the ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most high; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

kanene ilizwi likathixo laphuma livela kuni na? lafika kuni nedwa, kusini na?
what? came the word of god out from you? or came it unto you only?

wavuka kusasa udavide; ilizwi likayehova lafika kugadi umprofeti, imboni kadavide, lisithi,
for when david was up in the morning, the word of the lord came unto the prophet gad, david's seer, saying,

and it came to pass after many days, that the word of the lord came to elijah in the third year, saying, go, shew thyself unto ahab; and i will send rain upon the earth.

lafika ilizwi elo kukumkani wasenineve; wesuka etroneni yakhe, wayisusa wayibeka phantsi ingubo yakhe ende, wazigubungela ngezirhwexayo, wahlala phantsi eluthuthwini.
for word came unto the king of nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

emveni kwezo zinto, lafika ilizwe likayehova kuabram ngombono, lisithi, musa ukoyika, abram; ndiyingweletshetshe yakho, umvuzo wakho omkhulu kunene.
after these things the word of the lord came unto abram in a vision, saying, fear not, abram: i am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

ndathi ke, kwowu, nkosi yehova, inyaniso, ubalukuhlile kakhulu aba bantu neyerusalem, usithi, niya kuba noxolo; libe ikrele lide lafika emphefumlweni.
then said i, ah, lord god! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and jerusalem, saying, ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

kuwo onke amazwe ngamazwe, kwindawo elithe lafika kuyo ilizwi lokumkani nomthetho wakhe, yaba sisijwili esikhulu kumayuda, nokuzila ukudla, nokulila, nokumbambazela. abaninzi bandlala iingubo ezirhwexayo nothuthu.
and in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

nakumazwe ngamazwe onke, nakwimizi ngemizi yonke, elathi lafika kuyo ilizwi lokumkani nomthetho wakhe, yaba yimivuyo nemihlali kumayuda, isidlo nomhla wokuchwayitha. abaninzi ezizweni zelizwe baba ngamayuda; ngokuba bafikelwa kukunkwantya ngamayuda.
and in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. and many of the people of the land became jews; for the fear of the jews fell upon them.
