tuhan (yang mencipta serta mentadbirkan) langit dan bumi dan segala yang ada di antara keduanya, dan tuhan (yang mengatur) tempat-tempat terbit matahari.

when abraham saw the rising moon, he said, "this is my lord."
kemudian apabila dilihatnya bulan terbit (menyinarkan cahayanya), dia berkata: "inikah tuhanku?"

so bear with patience what they say, and glorify your lord with his praise, before the rising and before the setting of the sun;
oleh itu bersabarlah (wahai muhammad) akan apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu itu), dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam.

so bear thou patiently with that which they say, and hallow the praise of thine lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.
oleh itu bersabarlah (wahai muhammad) akan apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu itu), dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam.

hence bear with patience whatever they say, and celebrate your lord's glory before the rising of the sun and before its setting;
oleh itu bersabarlah (wahai muhammad) akan apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu itu), dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam.

till, when he reached the rising-place of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom we had appointed no shelter therefrom.
sehingga apabila ia sampai di daerah matahari terbit, ia mendapatinya terbit kepada suatu kaum yang kami tidak menjadikan bagi mereka sebarang perlindungan daripadanya.

therefor (o muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;
oleh itu bersabarlah (wahai muhammad) akan apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu itu), dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam.

to the extent that when he reached the rising-place of the sun, he found it rising upon a nation for which we had not kept any shelter from it.
sehingga apabila ia sampai di daerah matahari terbit, ia mendapatinya terbit kepada suatu kaum yang kami tidak menjadikan bagi mereka sebarang perlindungan daripadanya.
