waana sunnada rasuuladaan dirray hortaa, una heli maysid sunnadannada wax dooriya (leexin).

verily we have brought the truth to you: but most of you have a hatred for truth.
dhab ahaanbaan idiin la nimid xaq hasa yeeshee badankiin xaquu nacay.

and the magicians came to pharaoh and said: 'shall we have a reward if we win?'
waxayna u yimaaddeen sixirlayaashii fircoon waxayna dheheen ujuuro maleenahay haddaan annagu adkaanno.

we charge no soul with more than it can bear. we have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged.
kuma mashaqayno naf waxayna karin, agtanadana waxaa ah kitaab ku hadli xaq, lamana dulmiyo iyagana.

and the magicians came to pharaoh and asked, "shall we have a reward, if we should prevail?"
waxayna u yimaaddeen sixirlayaashii fircoon waxayna dheheen ujuuro maleenahay haddaan annagu adkaanno.

so when the magicians came, they said to pharaoh, ‘shall we have a reward if we were to be the victors?’
markay yimaaddeen saaxiriintii waxay ku dheheen fircoon ujuuro ma leenahay haddaan adkaanno.

we do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. we have a book with us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged.
kuma mashaqayno naf waxayna karin, agtanadana waxaa ah kitaab ku hadli xaq, lamana dulmiyo iyagana.

but whoever of you is obedient to god and his apostle, and does the right, will be given a two-fold reward by us; and we have a rich provision in readiness for her.
tiise adeecda eebe iyo rasuulkiisa oo camal fiican fasha waxaan siinaynaa labo ajir, waxaana u darbaynaa rizqi wanaagsan.

"for us, we have believed in our lord: may he forgive us our faults, and the magic to which thou didst compel us: for allah is best and most abiding."
annagu waxaan rumeeynay eebahanno inuu noo dhaafo gafafkanaga iyo waxaad nagu qasabtay (fircoon) oo sixira eebaa khayrroon oo hadhi.

so when the sorcerers arrived, they said to pharaoh: "of course - shall we have a (suitable) reward if we win?
markay yimaaddeen saaxiriintii waxay ku dheheen fircoon ujuuro ma leenahay haddaan adkaanno.

and thus we have sent it down as a quran in arabic, and have explained therein in detail the warnings, in order that they may fear allah, or that it may cause them to have a lesson from it (or to have the honour for believing and acting on its teachings).
saasaanu kugu soo dejinnay quraan carabi ah uguna caddaynay ((celcelinay) dhexdiisa gooddi inay dhawrsadaan darteed ama u timaado xusuus (waano).

and those who obeyed the command of their lord and kept the prayer established; and whose affairs are with mutual consultation; and who spend in our cause from what we have bestowed upon them.
waana kuwa ajiibay (maqlay) eebahood oogayna salaadda amarkooduna tashi yahay dhexdooda waxaan ku arzaaqnayna wax ka bixiya.

and appoint goodness for us in this world and the hereafter, for indeed we have come back to you.’ said he, ‘i visit my punishment on whomever i wish, but my mercy embraces all things. soon i shall appoint it for those who are godwary and give the zakat and those who believe in our signs
noona qor adduunyadan wanaag iyo aakhiraba waannu kuu noqonaye, wuxuu yidhi cadaabkaygu wuxuu ku dhici ciddaan doono, naxariistayduna waxay u waasac noqotay wax kasta, waxaana u qori kuwa dhawrsada oo bixiya zakada iyo kuwa aayaadkaygana rumeeya.

"and ordain for us that which is good, in this life and in the hereafter: for we have turned unto thee." he said: "with my punishment i visit whom i will; but my mercy extendeth to all things. that (mercy) i shall ordain for those who do right, and practise regular charity, and those who believe in our signs;-
noona qor adduunyadan wanaag iyo aakhiraba waannu kuu noqonaye, wuxuu yidhi cadaabkaygu wuxuu ku dhici ciddaan doono, naxariistayduna waxay u waasac noqotay wax kasta, waxaana u qori kuwa dhawrsada oo bixiya zakada iyo kuwa aayaadkaygana rumeeya.
