and the earth!- thereafter he stretched it out.
ва пас аз он заминро бигустурд (паҳн кард)

and by the earth and by him who stretched it out;
ва савганд ба замину он ки онро бигустурда

hast thou not regarded thy lord, how he has stretched out the shadow?
Надидаӣ, ки Парвардигори ту чӣ гуна сояро мекашад?

hast thou not observed thine lord-how he hath stretched out the shadow?
Надидаӣ, ки Парвардигори ту чӣ гуна сояро мекашад?

and we stretched towards heaven, but we found it filled with terrible guards and meteors.
Мо ба осмон расидем ва онро пур аз нигаҳбонони қудратманду шиҳобҳо (чароғ, оташак) ёфтем.

we stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and we made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it
Ва заминро густурдем ва дар он кӯҳҳои баланд афкандем ва аз ҳар гуна набототи хушманзар дар он рӯёнидем.

and the earth! we have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent spreader are we!
Ва заминро густурдем ва чӣ некӯ густарандагонем!

and the earth -- we stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and we caused to grow therein of every joyous kind
Ва заминро густурдем ва дар он кӯҳҳои баланд афкандем ва аз ҳар гуна набототи хушманзар дар он рӯёнидем.

and the earth! we have stretched it out and have cast thereon mountains firm, and we have caused to spring up thereon everything weighed.
Ва заминро густурдем ва дар он кӯҳҳое азим афкандем. Ва аз ҳар чиз ба шевае санҷида дар он рӯёнидем.

and he it is who hath stretched forth the earth, and placed therein firm mountains and rivers; and of every fruit he hath placed therein two in pairs.
Ӯст, ки заминро бигустурд ва дар он кӯҳхову рудҳо қарор дод ва аз ҳар мева ҷуфт-ҷуфт падид овард ва шабро дар рӯз мепӯшонад.

and you would think them awake, while they were asleep. and we turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance.
Мепиндоштӣ, ки бедоранд, ҳол он ки дар хоб буданд ва Мо ононро ба дасти росту дасти чап мегардонидем ва сагашон бар даргоҳи ғор ду дасти худ дароз карда буд.

he it is who has stretched out the earth and has placed in it firm mountains and has caused the rivers to flow. he has made every fruit in pairs, two and two, and he it is who causes the night to cover the day.
Ӯст, ки заминро бигустурд ва дар он кӯҳхову рудҳо қарор дод ва аз ҳар мева ҷуфт-ҷуфт падид овард ва шабро дар рӯз мепӯшонад.

one would think them (the youths) awake while, in fact, they were sleeping. we turned their bodies from right to left and their dog stretched its front legs on the ground.
Мепиндоштӣ, ки бедоранд, ҳол он ки дар хоб буданд ва Мо ононро ба дасти росту дасти чап мегардонидем ва сагашон бар даргоҳи ғор ду дасти худ дароз карда буд.

it is he who stretched the earth and placed upon it stabilisers and rivers; and made two of a pair of every fruit; (and) he covers up the day with the night.
Ӯст, ки заминро бигустурд ва дар он кӯҳхову рудҳо қарор дод ва аз ҳар мева ҷуфт-ҷуфт падид овард ва шабро дар рӯз мепӯшонад.
