ladies and gentlemen, hiermit möchten wir sie mit dem jungen, (immer) freundlichen herrn über diesen zeilen bekannt machen (sofern das überhaupt nötig ist)! es ist mr joe goddard und wir glauben beinahe, dass er das achte weltwunder ist, oder zumindest, dass das wort ‘prokrastination’ in seinem thesaurus nonexistent ist. anderfalls könnten wir es uns nicht erklären, wie es ihm gelingt, seit jahren der kreative antrieb der besten popbands britanniens mit synthesizereinsatz seit den pet shop boys zu sein (hot chip), eines unserer absolut liebsten labels und musikkollektive (greco-roman) zu gründen und mitzuführen, mal eben die zwei einzig guten songs zu produzieren, dielittle boots bis heute jemals hatte, ein ebenfalls gelungenes soloalbum zu veröffentlichen und zugleich noch der musikalische mentor fürdrums of death, ein sehr beschäftigter undgefragter remixer und – vor allem – ein liebender ehemann zu sein.
03:18 pm ladies and gentlemen, please, let’s introduce the young, (always) friendly man above to you (in case that there’s still a need for it)! it’s mrjoe goddard and we honestly believe that he’s the eighth wonder of the world or that at least the word ‘procrastination’ is not existing in his thesaurus. otherwise we couldn’t think of any explanation how he keeps managing to be the creative power behind britain’s best synth-using (pop) act since the pet shop boys (hot chip), to found and co-lead one of our absolutely favourite music labels and collectives (greco-roman), to produce the only two great tracks little boots has ever done, to release an as good solo album and to be the sonic mentor for drums of death, a very busy remixer in great demand and – not to mention – loving husband.
