nunc igitur veni ut loquar ad regem dominum meum verbum hoc praesente populo et dixit ancilla tua loquar ad regem si quo modo faciat rex verbum ancillae sua
now therefore that i am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and thy handmaid said, i will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.

et si tibi placet egrediatur edictum a facie tua et scribatur iuxta legem persarum atque medorum quam praeteriri inlicitum est ut nequaquam ultra vasthi ingrediatur ad regem sed regnum illius altera quae melior illa est accipia
if it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the persians and the medes, that it be not altered, that vashti come no more before king ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
