不 可 叫 你 的 善 被 人 毀 謗
let not then your good be evil spoken of:

境 內 有 打 仗 和 大 毀 滅 的 響 聲
a sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

人 不 制 伏 自 己 的 心 、 好 像 毀 壞 的 城 邑 沒 有 牆 垣
he that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

他 必 安 設 撞 城 錘 攻 破 你 的 牆 垣 、 用 鐵 器 拆 毀 你 的 城 樓
and he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.

他 們 來 如 同 闖 進 大 破 口 ． 在 毀 壞 之 間 、 輥 在 我 身 上
they came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.

他 不 以 舌 頭 讒 謗 人 、 不 惡 待 朋 友 、 也 不 隨 夥 毀 謗 鄰 里
he that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

不 要 毀 謗 、 不 要 爭 競 、 總 要 和 平 、 向 眾 人 大 顯 溫 柔
to speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

他 們 心 裡 說 、 我 們 要 盡 行 毀 滅 、 他 們 就 在 遍 地 把 神 的 會 所 都 燒 燬 了
they said in their hearts, let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of god in the land.

他 使 住 高 處 的 、 與 高 城 一 併 敗 落 、 將 城 拆 毀 、 拆 平 直 到 塵 埃
for he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

人 若 因 我 辱 罵 你 們 、 逼 迫 你 們 、 捏 造 各 樣 壞 話 毀 謗 你 們 、 你 們 就 有 福 了
blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

他 們 因 離 棄 我 、 必 定 有 禍 、 因 違 背 我 、 必 被 毀 滅 ． 我 雖 要 救 贖 他 們 、 他 們 卻 向 我 說 謊
woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though i have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
