had allah known any good in them , he would have surely made them hear , and were he to make them hear , surely they would turn away , being disregardful .
আর আল ্ লাহ ্ যদি তাদের মধ ্ যে ভালো কিছু জানতেন তবে তিনি আলবৎ তাদের শোনাতেন । কিন ্ তু যদিও তিনি তাদের শোনাতেন তবু তারা ফিরে যেতো , যেহেতু তারা বিমুখ ।

have you not regarded those who were given a share of the book , who are summoned to the book of allah in order that it may judge between them , whereat a part of them refuse to comply and they are disregardful ?
আপনি কি তাদের দেখেননি , যারা কিতাবের কিছু অংশ পেয়েছে-আল ্ লাহর কিতাবের প ্ রতি তাদের আহবান করা হয়েছিল যাতে তাদের মধ ্ যে মীমাংসা করা যায় । অতঃপর তাদের মধ ্ যে একদল তা অমান ্ য করে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় ।

had the truth followed their desires , the heavens and the earth would have surely fallen apart [ along ] with those who are in them . indeed , we have brought them their reminder , but they are disregardful of their reminder .
আর যদি সত ্ য তাদের কামনার অনুসরণ করত তবে মহাকাশ-মন ্ ডলী ও পৃথিবী এবং তাদের মধ ্ যে যা আছে সবই বিশৃঙ ্ খল হয়ে পড়ত । পক ্ ষান ্ তরে আমরা তাদের কাছে তাদের স ্ মরণীয় বার ্ তা নিয়ে এসেছি , কিন ্ ত তারা তাদের স ্ মারক-গ ্ রন ্ থ থেকে বিমুখ থাকে ।
