i fear evil from my kinsmen after i am gone ; and my wife is barren , so grant me an heir out of your special grace ,
« እኔም ከበኋላዬ ዘመዶቼን በእርግጥ ፈራሁ ፡ ፡ ሚስቴም መካን ነበረች ስለዚህ ከአንተ ዘንድ ለኔ ልጅን ስጠኝ ፡ ፡

say , " lord , grant me an honourable entrance and an honourable exit , and sustain me with your power . "
በልም ጌታዬ ሆይ ! የተወደደን ማግባት አግባኝ ፡ ፡ የተወደደንም ማውጣት አውጣኝ ፡ ፡ ለእኔም ከአንተ ዘንድ የተረዳን ስልጣን አድርግልኝ ፡ ፡

my lord , make me an establisher of prayer , and [ many ] from my descendants . our lord , and accept my supplication .
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ሰላትን አዘውትሬ የምሰግድ አድርገኝ ፡ ፡ ከዘሮቼም ( አድርግ ) ፡ ፡ ጌታችን ሆይ ! ጸሎቴንም ተቀበለኝ ፤
