דבקה לעפר נפשי חיני כדברך׃
my soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

מקול אנחתי דבקה עצמי לבשרי׃
by reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

דבקה נפשי אחריך בי תמכה ימינך׃
my soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

שום אשמה לא דבקה בו בנוגע לתאונה.
no blame attaches to him for the accident.

כי שחה לעפר נפשנו דבקה לארץ בטננו׃
for our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.

בעורי ובבשרי דבקה עצמי ואתמלטה בעור שני׃
my bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and i am escaped with the skin of my teeth.

ותשנה קולן ותבכינה עוד ותשק ערפה לחמותה ורות דבקה בה׃

וכנף הכרוב האחד אמות חמש מגיע לקיר הבית והכנף האחרת אמות חמש דבקה לכנף הכרוב האחר׃
