i came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Ես չեմ եկել արդարներին կանչելու, այլ՝ մեղաւորներին՝ ապաշխարութեան»:

judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Աչքներիդ երեւացածի պէս մի՛ դատէք, այլ ուղի՛ղ դատաստան արէք»:

and abraham drew near, and said, wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
Աբրահամը մօտեցաւ Տիրոջն ու ասաց. «Մի՞թէ դու արդարին ամբարշտի հետ կ՚ոչնչացնես, եւ արդարը նոյն բանին կ՚ենթարկուի, ինչ որ ամբարիշտը:

and they were both righteous before god, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the lord blameless.
Եւ երկուսն էլ Աստծու առաջ արդար էին ու անարատ կերպով ընթանում էին Տիրոջ բոլոր պատուիրանների եւ օրէնքների ճանապարհով:

now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified god, saying, certainly this was a righteous man.
Եւ հարիւրապետը, տեսնելով ինչ որ պատահեց, փառաւորեց Աստծուն եւ ասաց. «Իսկապէս այս մարդը արդար էր»:

and he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Այս առակն էլ ասաց ոմանց, որոնք իրենք իրենցով պարծենում էին, թէ արդար են, եւ արհամարհում էին ուրիշ շատերին:

then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Այն ժամանակ արդարները երկնքի արքայութեան մէջ կը ծագեն ինչպէս արեգակը: Ով լսելու ականջ ունի, թող լսի»:

and the lord said unto noah, come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have i seen righteous before me in this generation.
Տէր Աստուած ասաց Նոյին. «Դու եւ քո ողջ ընտանիքը մտէ՛ք տապան, որովհետեւ մարդկային ցեղի մէջ միայն քե՛զ գտայ արդար իմ հանդէպ:

keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for i will not justify the wicked.
Հեռու կը մնաս ամէն տեսակ անիրաւ գործերից: Մահուան չդատապարտես անպարտին ու արդարին: Մեղաւորին կաշառուելով չարդարացնես:

peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
Եթէ քաղաքում յիսուն արդար լինի, կ՚ոչնչացնե՞ս նրանց, չե՞ս խնայի ամբողջ քաղաքը յանուն այնտեղ գտնուող յիսուն արդարների:

woe unto you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
Վա՜յ ձեզ կեղծաւորներիդ՝ օրէնսգէտներիդ եւ փարիսեցիներիդ, որ մարգարէների շիրիմներն էք շինում եւ արդարների գերեզմաններն էք զարդարում ու ասում էք.

and judah acknowledged them, and said, she hath been more righteous than i; because that i gave her not to shelah my son. and he knew her again no more.
Յուդան ճանաչեց դրանք ու ասաց. «Նա աւելի արդար է, քան ես, որովհետեւ նրան իմ որդի Սելոմին կնութեան չտուեցի»: Եւ այլեւս չմտաւ նրա ծոցը:

then shall the righteous answer him, saying, lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Այն ժամանակ արդարները պիտի պատասխանեն նրան ու ասեն. «Տէ՛ր, ե՞րբ տեսանք քեզ քաղցած ու կերակրեցինք, կամ՝ ծարաւ եւ ջուր տուեցինք.

and pharaoh sent, and called for moses and aaron, and said unto them, i have sinned this time: the lord is righteous, and i and my people are wicked.
Փարաւոնը մարդ ուղարկելով՝ կանչեց Մովսէսին ու Ահարոնին եւ ասաց նրանց. «Մեղք եմ գործել: Այսուհետեւ Տէրն արդար է, իսկ ես ու իմ ժողովուրդը ամբարիշտներ ենք:

for verily i say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Ճշմարիտ եմ ասում ձեզ, որ շատ մարգարէներ ու արդարներ ցանկացան տեսնել, ինչ որ դուք տեսնում էք, բայց չտեսան, եւ լսել՝ ինչ որ դուք լսում էք, բայց չլսեցին»:

he that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
Ով մարգարէին ընդունում է իբրեւ մարգարէի, մարգարէի վարձ կը ստանայ. ով արդարին ընդունում է իբրեւ արդարի, արդարի վարձ կը ստանայ:
