ኢብራሂምም ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ይህንን አገር ( መካን ) ጸጥተኛ አድርገው ፡ ፡ እኔንም ልጆቼንም ጣዖታትን ከመገዛት አርቀን ፡ ፡

and turning the cities of sodom and gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
ኃጢአትንም ያደርጉ ዘንድ ላሉት ምሳሌ አድርጎ ከተማዎችን ሰዶምንና ገሞራን አመድ እስኪሆኑ ድረስ አቃጥሎና ገልብጦ ከፈረደባቸው፥

and ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the gentiles.
ለእነርሱና ለአሕዛብም ምስክር እንዲሆን፥ ስለ እኔ ወደ ገዥዎች ወደ ነገሥታትም ትወሰዳላችሁ።
