መጥታችሁ እዩ አላቸው። መጥተው የሚኖርበትን አዩ፥ በዚያም ቀን በእርሱ ዘንድ ዋሉ፤ አሥር ሰዓት ያህል ነበረ።

ስምዖንም መልሶ። አቤቱ፥ ሌሊቱን ሁሉ አድረን ስንደክም ምንም አልያዝንም፤ ነገር ግን በቃልህ መረቦቹን እጥላለሁ አለው።

ስምዖን ጴጥሮስም ወደ ጀልባይቱ ገብቶ መቶ አምሳ ሦስት ታላላቅ ዓሦች ሞልቶ የነበረውን መረብ ወደ ምድር ጐተተ፤ ይህንም ያህል ብዙ ሲሆን መረቡ አልተቀደደም።

then simon peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. the servant's name was malchus.
