አላህ ከሰማይ ውሃን ማውረዱንና ምድር የምትለመልም መኾኗን አታይምን አላህ ሩኅሩኅ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

or [ they are ] like darknesses within an unfathomable sea which is covered by waves , upon which are waves , over which are clouds - darknesses , some of them upon others . when one puts out his hand [ therein ] , he can hardly see it .
ወይም ( መጥፎ ሥራዎቻቸውን ) ከበላዩ ደመና ያለበት ማዕበል በሚሸፈነው ጥልቅ ባህር ውስጥ እንዳሉ ጨለማዎች ነው ፡ ፡ ( እነዚያ ) ከፊላቸው ከከፊሉ በላይ ድርብርብ የኾኑ ጨለማዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ( በዚህች ) የተሞከረ ( ሰው ) እጁን ባወጣ ጊዜ ሊያያት አይቀርብም ፡ ፡ አላህም ለእርሱ ብርሃንን ያላደረገለት ሰው ለእርሱ ምንም ብርሃን የለውም ፡ ፡
