hast thou seen him who chooseth for his god his own lust ? wouldst thou then be guardian over him ?
ፍላጎቱን አምላኩ አድርጎ የያዘውን ሰው አየህን አንተ በእርሱ ላይ ጠባቂ ትኾናለህን

he said : said i not unto thee that thou wouldst by no means be able to have with me patience ?
« አንተ ከኔ ጋር ትእግሥትን ፈጽሞ አትችልም አላልኩህምን » አለ ፡ ፡

" and say to him , ' wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified ( from sin ) ? -
በለውም ፡ - « ወደ መጥራራትህ ላንተ ( መንገድ ) አለህን ? »

and if we willed we could withdraw that which we have revealed unto thee , then wouldst thou find no guardian for thee against us in respect thereof .
ብንሻም ያንን ወዳንተ ያወረድነውን በእርግጥ እናስወግዳለን ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ላንተ በእኛ ላይ በርሱ ( ለማስመለስ ) ተያዢን አታገኝም ፡ ፡

thou wouldst only , perchance , fret thyself to death , following after them , in grief , if they believe not in this message .
በዚህም ንግግር ( በቁርኣን ) ባያምኑ በፈለጎቻቸው ላይ በቁጭት ነፍስህን አጥፊ ልትሆን ይፈራልሃል ፡ ፡

in that case we would have surely made thee taste the double of the tornment of the life and the double of the torment of death , and then thou wouldst not find against us a helper .
ያን ጊዜ የሕይወትን ድርብ ( ቅጣት ) የሞትንም ድርብ ( ቅጣት ) ባቀመስንህ ነበር ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ላንተ በኛ ላይ ረዳትን አታገኝም ነበር ፡ ፡

and when he would have fallen upon the man who was an enemy unto them both , he said : o moses ! wouldst thou kill me as thou didst kill a person yesterday .
( ሙሳ ) ያንን እርሱ ለሁለቱም ጠላት የሆነውን ሰው በኃይል ሊይዘው በፈለገም ጊዜ « ሙሳ ሆይ ! በትላንትናው ቀን ነፍስን እንደ ገደልክ ልትገድለኝ ትፈልጋለህን በምድር ለይ ጨካኝ መሆንን እንጅ ሌላ አትፈልግም ፡ ፡ ከመልካም ሠሪዎችም መሆንን አትፈልግም » አለው ፡ ፡

and if thy lord had willed , whoever is in the earth would have believed , all of them , all together . wouldst thou then constrain the people , until they are believers ?
ጌታህም በሻ ኖሮ በምድር ያሉት ሰዎች ሁሉም የተሰበሰቡ ሆነው ባመኑ ነበር ፡ ፡ ታዲያ አንተ ሰዎችን አማኞች እንዲኾኑ ታስገድዳለህን

did we will , we would show them to thee , then thou wouldst know them by their mark ; and thou shalt certainly know them in the twisting of their speech ; and god knows your deeds .
በሻንም ኖሮ እነርሱን ባሳየንህና በምልክታቸውም በእርግጥ ባወቅሃቸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ንግግርንም በማሸሞራቸው በእርግጥ ታውቃቸዋለህ ፡ ፡ አላህም ሥራዎቻችሁን ያውቃል ፡ ፡

and spend of that wherewith we have provided you before death cometh unto one of you and he saith : my lord ! if only thou wouldst reprieve me for a little while , then i would give alms and be among the righteous .
አንዳችሁንም ሞት ሳይመጣውና ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እንድመጸውትና ከደጋጐቹም ሰዎች እንድኾን ወደ ጥቂት ጊዜ ብታቆየኝ ኖሮ እመኛለሁ ከማለቱ በፊት ከሰጠናችሁ ሲሳይ ለግሱ ፡ ፡

' son of my mother , ' aaron said , ' take me not by the beard , or the head ! i was fearful that thou wouldst say , " thou hast divided the children of israel , and thou hast not observed my word . "
« የእናቴ ልጅ ሆይ ! ጢሜንም ራሴንም አትያዝ ፡ ፡ እኔ በእስራኤል ልጆች መካከል ለያየህ ፤ ቃሌንም አልጠበቅህም ማለትህን ፈራሁ » አለው ፡ ፡
