if you are free call me
በነፃ ስትጠራኝ

hod god why you are forsaken me
አማርኛ

you are no more than a warner .
አንተ አስጠንቃቂ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለህም ፡ ፡

he said , " you are strangers [ to me ] . "
( ሉጥ ) « እናንተ የተሳታችሁ ሕዝቦች ናችሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

are your disbelievers better than those , or have ye some immunity in the scriptures ?
ከሓዲዎቻችሁ ከእነዚህ በላጮች ናቸውን ? ወይስ ለናንተ በመጽሐፎች ውስጥ ( የተነገረ ) ነፃነት አላችሁን ?

the night of power is better than a thousand months .
መወሰኛይቱ ሌሊት ከሺሕ ወር በላጭ ናት ፡ ፡

are your unbelievers better than all those ? or do you have immunity in the scriptures ?
ከሓዲዎቻችሁ ከእነዚህ በላጮች ናቸውን ? ወይስ ለናንተ በመጽሐፎች ውስጥ ( የተነገረ ) ነፃነት አላችሁን ?

ዢቶ ዙብሪ ካብዌ ይህንን ገምተው ቀጠሉ፡

if you are killed in the cause of god , or die — forgiveness and mercy from god are better than what they hoard .
በአላህም መንገድ ብትገደሉ ወይም ፤ ብትሞቱ ከአላህ የኾነው ምሕረትና እዝነት ( እነርሱ ) ከሚሰበስቡት ሀብት በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

am i not better than this wretch who cannot even speak clearly ?
« በውነቱ እኔ ከዚህ ያ እርሱ ወራዳ ንግግሩንም ሊገልጽ የማይቀርብ ከኾነው በላጭ ነኝ ፡ ፡

am i not better than this lowly man who can barely express himself ?
« በውነቱ እኔ ከዚህ ያ እርሱ ወራዳ ንግግሩንም ሊገልጽ የማይቀርብ ከኾነው በላጭ ነኝ ፡ ፡

and if you are killed in allah s way ’ or die , then the pardon from allah and mercy are better than all what they hoard .
በአላህም መንገድ ብትገደሉ ወይም ፤ ብትሞቱ ከአላህ የኾነው ምሕረትና እዝነት ( እነርሱ ) ከሚሰበስቡት ሀብት በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

am i not better than this contemptible man who can hardly make his meaning clear :
« በውነቱ እኔ ከዚህ ያ እርሱ ወራዳ ንግግሩንም ሊገልጽ የማይቀርብ ከኾነው በላጭ ነኝ ፡ ፡

and when you are greeted with some words , greet back with words better than it or with the same ; indeed allah will take account of everything .
በሰላምታ በተከበራችሁም ጊዜ ከእርሷ ይበልጥ ባማረ ( ሰላምታ ) አክብሩ ፡ ፡ ወይም ( እርሷኑ ) መልሷት ፡ ፡ አላህ በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ተቆጣጣሪ ነውና ፡ ፡

and were you to be slain or to die in the way of allah , then surely allah 's forgiveness and mercy are better than all the goods they amass .
በአላህም መንገድ ብትገደሉ ወይም ፤ ብትሞቱ ከአላህ የኾነው ምሕረትና እዝነት ( እነርሱ ) ከሚሰበስቡት ሀብት በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

a reputable word and forgiveness are better than an alms which hurt followeth ; and allah is self-sufficient , forbearing .
መልካም ንግግርና ምሕረት ማድረግ ማስከፋት ከሚከተላት ምጽዋት በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም ተብቃቂ ታጋሽ ነው ፡ ፡

he said , “ if you accept any god other than me , i will make you a prisoner . ”
( ፈርዖን ) « ከእኔ ሌላ አምላክን ብትይዝ በውነቱ ከእስረኞቹ አደርግሃለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

and if you are killed in the cause of allah or die - then forgiveness from allah and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [ in this world ] .
በአላህም መንገድ ብትገደሉ ወይም ፤ ብትሞቱ ከአላህ የኾነው ምሕረትና እዝነት ( እነርሱ ) ከሚሰበስቡት ሀብት በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

( iblis ) said : " i am better than he : thou createdst me from fire , and him thou createdst from clay . "
« እኔ ከእርሱ በላጭ ነኝ ፡ ፡ ከእሳት ፈጠርከኝ ፤ ከጭቃም ፈጠርከው » አለ ፡ ፡

and what though ye be slain in allah 's way or die therein ? surely pardon from allah and mercy are better than all that they amass .
