moses said to him : " may l follow you that you may teach me something of the wisdom which you have been taught ? "
ሙሳ ለእርሱ « ከተማርከው ነገር ቀጥተኛን ( ዕውቀት ) ታስተምረኝ ዘንድ ልከተልህን » አለው ፡ ፡

but if they urge you to associate with me something you have no knowledge of , do not obey them . to me is your return ; and i will inform you of what you used to do .
ሰውንም በወላጆቹ መልካም አድራጎትን አዘዝነው ፡ ፡ ላንተም በእርሱ ዕውቀት የሌለህን ( ጣዖት ) በእኔ እንድታጋራ ቢታገሉህ አትታዘዛቸው ፡ ፡ መመለሻችሁ ወደኔ ነው ፡ ፡ ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትንም ሁሉ እነግራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡

but if they bid you associate with me something about which you have no knowledge , do not obey them . to me you shall all return , and i shall tell you about all that you have done .
ሰውንም በወላጆቹ መልካም አድራጎትን አዘዝነው ፡ ፡ ላንተም በእርሱ ዕውቀት የሌለህን ( ጣዖት ) በእኔ እንድታጋራ ቢታገሉህ አትታዘዛቸው ፡ ፡ መመለሻችሁ ወደኔ ነው ፡ ፡ ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትንም ሁሉ እነግራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡

it may well be that my lord will give me something better than your vineyard , and send a calamity upon your vineyard from the heavens and it will be reduced to a barren waste ,
« ጌታዬ ከአትክልትህ የበለጠን ሊሰጠኝ በርሷም ( በአትክልትህ ) ላይ ከሰማይ መብረቆችን ሊልክባትና የምታንዳልጥ ምልጥ ምድር ልትኾን ይቻላል ፡ ፡

but if they strive to have you associate with me something of which you have no knowledge , do not obey them . but keep them company in this life , in kindness , and follow the path of him who turns to me .
ለአንተ በእርሱ ዕውቀት የሌለህን ነገር በእኔ እንድታጋራ ቢታገሉህም አትታዘዛቸው ፡ ፡ በቅርቢቱም ዓለም ፤ በመልካም ሥራ ተወዳጃቸው ፡ ፡ ወደእኔም የተመለሰን ሰው መንገድ ተከተል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም መመለሻችሁ ወደእኔ ነው ፡ ፡ ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትንም ሁሉ እነግራችኋለሁ ፤ ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡

indeed , he is [ personification of ] unrighteous conduct . so do not ask me [ something ] of which you have no knowledge .
( አላህም ) « ኑሕ ሆይ ! እርሱ ከቤተሰብህ አይደለም ፤ እርሱ መልካም ያልሆነ ሥራ ነው ፤ በርሱ ዕውቀት የሌለህንም ነገር አትጠይቀኝ ፤ እኔ ከሚሳሳቱት ሰዎች እንዳትሆን እገስጽሀለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

it may be that my lord will give me [ something ] better than your garden and will send upon it a calamity from the sky , and it will become a smooth , dusty ground ,
« ጌታዬ ከአትክልትህ የበለጠን ሊሰጠኝ በርሷም ( በአትክልትህ ) ላይ ከሰማይ መብረቆችን ሊልክባትና የምታንዳልጥ ምልጥ ምድር ልትኾን ይቻላል ፡ ፡

thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power , and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events , - o thou creator of the heavens and the earth ! thou art my protector in this world and in the hereafter .
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ከንግሥና በእርግጥ ሰጠኸኝ ፡ ፡ ከሕልሞችም ፍች አስተማርከኝ ፡ ፡ የሰማያትና የምድር ፈጣሪ ሆይ ! አንተ በቅርቢቱና በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም ረዳቴ ነህ ፡ ፡ ሙስሊም ሆኘ ግደለኝ ፡ ፡ በመልካሞቹም አስጠጋኝ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

( the bedouins tell you that ) you owe them ( a great deal ) for their embracing islam . tell them , " you are not doing me any favors by embracing islam .
በመስለማቸው በአንተ ላይ ይመጻደቃሉ « በስልምናችሁ በኔ ላይ አትመጻደቁ ፤ ይልቁንም አላህ ወደ እምነት ስለ መራችሁ ይመጸደቅባችኋል ፤ እውነተኞች ብትኾኑ » ( መመጻደቅ ለአላህ ነው ) በላቸው ፡ ፡

" it may be that my lord will give me something better than your garden , and will send on it husban ( torment , bolt , etc . ) from the sky , then it will be a slippery earth .
« ጌታዬ ከአትክልትህ የበለጠን ሊሰጠኝ በርሷም ( በአትክልትህ ) ላይ ከሰማይ መብረቆችን ሊልክባትና የምታንዳልጥ ምልጥ ምድር ልትኾን ይቻላል ፡ ፡
