let not thine eyes be blinded ,my son
உன் கண்கள் குருடாகாது, என் மகனே

and let not thine hand be chained to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to the utmost stretching, lest thou sit down reproached, impoverished.
(உலோபியைப் போல் எதுவும் வழங்காது) உம் கையை உம் கழுத்தில் கட்டப் பட்டதாக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்; அன்றியும், (அனைத்தையும் செலவழித்து உம் கையை) ஒரே விரிப்பாக விரித்து விடாதீர்; அதனால் நீர் நிந்திக்கப்பட்டவராகவும், (கையில் எதுவுமில்லாது) துக்கப்பட்டவராகவும் அமைந்து விடுவீர்.

stretch not thine eyes to that we have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers,
அவர்களிலிருந்து, சில வகுப்பினரை இவ்வுலகில் எவற்றைக் கொண்டு சுகம் அனுபவிக்க நாம் செய்திருக்கின்றோமோ அவற்றின் பால் நீர் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; அவர்களுக்காக நீர் துக்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்; ஆனால் உம் (அன்பென்னும்) இறக்கையை முஃமின்கள் மீது இறக்கும்.

cast not thine eyes toward that which we have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers.
அவர்களிலிருந்து, சில வகுப்பினரை இவ்வுலகில் எவற்றைக் கொண்டு சுகம் அனுபவிக்க நாம் செய்திருக்கின்றோமோ அவற்றின் பால் நீர் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; அவர்களுக்காக நீர் துக்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்; ஆனால் உம் (அன்பென்னும்) இறக்கையை முஃமின்கள் மீது இறக்கும்.

and endure thy self in the company of those who call upon their lord in the morning and evening seeking his and let not thine eyes countenance rove from them seeking the adornment of the life of this world, and obey thou not him whose heart we have made to neglect our remembrance, and who followeth his lust, and whose affair is exceeding the bound.
(நபியே!) எவர் தம் இறைவனுடைய திருப்பொருத்த்தை நாடியவர்களாக காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் அவனைப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடன் நீரும் பொறுமையை மேற் கொண்டிருப்பீராக! இன்னும் உலக வாழ்க்கையின் அலங்காரத்தை நாடி அ(த்தகைய)வர்களை விட்டும் உம் இரு கண்களையும் திருப்பி விடாதீர்; இன்னும், எவனுடைய இதயத்தை நம்மை நினைவு கூர்வதிலிருந்து நாம் திருப்பி விட்டோமோ அவனை நீர் வழிபடாதீர்; ஏனெனில் அவன்தன் இச்சையைப் பின் பற்றியதனால் அவனுடைய காரியம் வரம்பு மீறியமாகி விட்டது.

strain not thine eyes toward that which we cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers.
அவர்களிலிருந்து, சில வகுப்பினரை இவ்வுலகில் எவற்றைக் கொண்டு சுகம் அனுபவிக்க நாம் செய்திருக்கின்றோமோ அவற்றின் பால் நீர் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; அவர்களுக்காக நீர் துக்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்; ஆனால் உம் (அன்பென்னும்) இறக்கையை முஃமின்கள் மீது இறக்கும்.

and restrain thyself with those who call upon their lord at morning and evening, desiring his countenance, and let not thine eyes turn away from them, desiring the adornment of the present life; and obey not him whose heart we have made neglectful of our remembrance so that he follows his own lust, and his affair has become all excess.
(நபியே!) எவர் தம் இறைவனுடைய திருப்பொருத்த்தை நாடியவர்களாக காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் அவனைப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடன் நீரும் பொறுமையை மேற் கொண்டிருப்பீராக! இன்னும் உலக வாழ்க்கையின் அலங்காரத்தை நாடி அ(த்தகைய)வர்களை விட்டும் உம் இரு கண்களையும் திருப்பி விடாதீர்; இன்னும், எவனுடைய இதயத்தை நம்மை நினைவு கூர்வதிலிருந்து நாம் திருப்பி விட்டோமோ அவனை நீர் வழிபடாதீர்; ஏனெனில் அவன்தன் இச்சையைப் பின் பற்றியதனால் அவனுடைய காரியம் வரம்பு மீறியமாகி விட்டது.

restrain thyself along with those who cry unto their lord at morn and evening, seeking his countenance; and let not thine eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart we have made heedless of our remembrance, who followeth his own lust and whose case hath been abandoned.
(நபியே!) எவர் தம் இறைவனுடைய திருப்பொருத்த்தை நாடியவர்களாக காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் அவனைப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடன் நீரும் பொறுமையை மேற் கொண்டிருப்பீராக! இன்னும் உலக வாழ்க்கையின் அலங்காரத்தை நாடி அ(த்தகைய)வர்களை விட்டும் உம் இரு கண்களையும் திருப்பி விடாதீர்; இன்னும், எவனுடைய இதயத்தை நம்மை நினைவு கூர்வதிலிருந்து நாம் திருப்பி விட்டோமோ அவனை நீர் வழிபடாதீர்; ஏனெனில் அவன்தன் இச்சையைப் பின் பற்றியதனால் அவனுடைய காரியம் வரம்பு மீறியமாகி விட்டது.

and keep thy soul content with those who call on their lord morning and evening, seeking his face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this life; no obey any whose heart we have permitted to neglect the remembrance of us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds.
(நபியே!) எவர் தம் இறைவனுடைய திருப்பொருத்த்தை நாடியவர்களாக காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் அவனைப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடன் நீரும் பொறுமையை மேற் கொண்டிருப்பீராக! இன்னும் உலக வாழ்க்கையின் அலங்காரத்தை நாடி அ(த்தகைய)வர்களை விட்டும் உம் இரு கண்களையும் திருப்பி விடாதீர்; இன்னும், எவனுடைய இதயத்தை நம்மை நினைவு கூர்வதிலிருந்து நாம் திருப்பி விட்டோமோ அவனை நீர் வழிபடாதீர்; ஏனெனில் அவன்தன் இச்சையைப் பின் பற்றியதனால் அவனுடைய காரியம் வரம்பு மீறியமாகி விட்டது.

strain not thine eyes. (wistfully) at what we have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers.
அவர்களிலிருந்து, சில வகுப்பினரை இவ்வுலகில் எவற்றைக் கொண்டு சுகம் அனுபவிக்க நாம் செய்திருக்கின்றோமோ அவற்றின் பால் நீர் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; அவர்களுக்காக நீர் துக்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்; ஆனால் உம் (அன்பென்னும்) இறக்கையை முஃமின்கள் மீது இறக்கும்.

is he, then, whose evil work hath been made fair-seeming unto him, so that he deemeth it good, be as he who rightly perceiveth the truth? verily allah sendeth astray whomsoever he listeth, and guideth whomsoever he listeth; so let not thine soul expire after them in sighings; verily allah is the knower of that which they perform.
எவனுக்கு அவனுடைய செயலின் கெடுதியும் அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு, அவனும் அதைஅழகாகக் காண்கிறானோ, அவன் (நேர்வழி பெற்றவனைப் போலாவானா?) அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவரை வழிதவறச் செய்கிறான்;. மேலும் தான் நாடியவரை நேர்வழியில் சேர்க்கிறான்; ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்காக உம்முடைய உயிர் போகும் அளவுக்கு நீர் விசாரப்பட வேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதை நன்கறிபவன்.
