இன்னும் ஜகரியா தம் இறைவனிடம் "என் இறைவா! நீ என்னை (சந்ததியில்லாமல்) ஒற்றையாக விட்டு விடாதே! நீயோ அனந்தரங்கொள்வோரில் மிகவும் மேலானவன்" என்று பிரார்த்தித் போது

thereat zechariah supplicated his lord. he said, ‘my lord! grant me a good offspring from you! indeed you hear all supplications.’
அந்த இடத்திலேயே ஜகரிய்யா தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தவராகக் கூறினார்; "இறைவனே! உன்னிடமிருந்து எனக்காக ஒரு பரிசுத்தமான சந்ததியைக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ பிரார்த்தனையைச் செவிமடுத்தருள்வோனாக இருக்கின்றாய்."

thereupon zechariah prayed to his lord; he said, “my lord, bestow on me good offspring from your presence; you are the hearer of prayers.”
அந்த இடத்திலேயே ஜகரிய்யா தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தவராகக் கூறினார்; "இறைவனே! உன்னிடமிருந்து எனக்காக ஒரு பரிசுத்தமான சந்ததியைக் கொடுத்தருள்வாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ பிரார்த்தனையைச் செவிமடுத்தருள்வோனாக இருக்கின்றாய்."
