ཏན་ནེ་སི་སྤོ་ལོ།

དེ་ལ་ཐེ་ཙོམ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ།
which caused him some consternation:

ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་འགའ་ཡང་མ་ཐོབ་སྟེ།
i have not attained any store of qualities.

འཕགས་པ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་བརྙེས་སམ།
‘noble one! have you found such a store of qualities?’

དྲིས་པ། མཁན་པོས་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ཅུང་ཟད་བརྙེས་པ་མཆིས་སམ། །
asked, ‘preceptor, have you attained any of the store of qualities?’“

དེས་བསམས་པ། འདི་ཡོན་ཏན་དག་མངོན་པར་མི་ཤེས་ཏེ་ཕ་གསོད་པར་བྱེད་པས་
the girl thought, “he has killed his father without regard for his importance to him.

བཞིན་བཟངས་གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་ཅུང་ཟད་ཐོབ་ན་ཁོ་བོ་ལ་རྗོད་ཅིག །
‘good man, should you attain even the slightest store of qualities, you must tell me.’ “

ཐོབ་བོ། །དེས་བསམས་པ། འཕགས་པ་འདིས་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་གང་ཅུང་ཟད་ཐོབ་པ་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེ་
‘i have.’“the prince thought, ‘if the small store of qualities this noble being has attained,

དེ་ན་འདིས་ཚེ་ཇི་སྲིད་པར་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ་སྤྱད་ན་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་འགའ་ཡང་མ་ཐོབ་ནས།
“he lived the holy life for the rest of his days, but he did not attain any store of qualities.

གང་ལ་བྱད་བཞིན་ཡོད་པ་དེ་དག་ལ་ཡོན་ཏན་དག་ཀྱང་ཡོད་དོ་སྙམ་ནས་དེ་གཉིས་དེའི་གན་དུ་དོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས་སྨྲས་པ།
“whoever has such a face must have qualities to match.” they approached him and asked,

ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ཁྱིམ་བདག་ཆེ་གེ་མོ་ཞིག་གི་བུ་ལོན་ཆགས་པ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ནས་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་ཐོབ་བོ་ཞེས་སྒྲ་གྲགས་སོ།
and word spread everywhere that the debtor of this householder had gone forth and attained a store of qualities.

ཀོ་ས་ལའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་གསལ་རྒྱལ་གྱིས་ཁྱིམ་བདག་ཆེ་གེ་མོ་ཞིག་གི་བུ་ལོན་ཆགས་པ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ནས་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་ཐོབ་བོ་ཞེས་ཐོས་ནས། །
when prasenajit, the king of kosala, heard this debtor had gone forth and attained a store of qualities,

་མ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་ལེགས་པར་གསུངས་པ་ཉིད་འདི་ལྟར་སྡིག་པ་བྱེད་པ་ལོག་པར་ལྟུང་བར་སོང་བ་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་གིས་ཀྱང་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི་ཚོགས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་ཐོབ་བོ་ཞེས་
o the well-spoken dharma by which even wrongdoers led into fallen states can attain such a collection of qualities!”

ཐེ་ཚོམ་ལས་རྒལ་བ་དང་། གཞན་གྱི་དྲིང་མི་འཇོག་པ་དང་། གཞན་གྱིས་མི་བཀྲི་བ་དང་།
transcended doubt, could not be swayed by others, and was not reliant on others.
