and herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to pilate.

kaj pilato denove lin demandis:cxu vi respondas nenion? vidu, pri kiom da aferoj oni vin akuzas.
and pilate asked him again, saying, answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

then came jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. and pilate saith unto them, behold the man!

kaj pilato demandis lin:cxu vi estas la regxo de la judoj? kaj responde li diris al li:vi diras.
and pilate asked him, art thou the king of the jews? and he answering said unto him, thou sayest it.

kaj pilato ankaux skribis titolon, kaj surmetis gxin sur la krucon. kaj estis skribite:jesuo nazareta, la regxo de la judoj.
and pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. and the writing was, jesus of nazareth the king of the jews.

pilate saith unto him, what is truth? and when he had said this, he went out again unto the jews, and saith unto them, i find in him no fault at all.
